I received notification that my car was ready at 4pm. I considered telling them that I would pick it up today, but then I figured I could ride to the shop before they closed for the day. I took the Beltline as far as New Realm Brewing before getting annoyed by the number of people on the Beltline.
You know I said all summer that Wee Little Farm was a bust this year? Two plants are working hard to right that wrong. I have two winter squash plants, one is moschato squash (the same shape as a butternut squash), and the other I can’t recall what I planted (pumpkin shaped). Both plants have been sprawling from their planting sites, invading almost all corners of WLF. They have been allowed to do so since they continue to flower and put on fruits. I will be doing a lot of searching for squash recipes so that these don’t rot in the basement like so many of the squashes in the past.
Wordle: four, my starter was CLAIM. I’m not mad today, just disappointed. I haven’t scored fewer than five in a week!

A good day yesterday. Found a walker had fallen in the parking lot and wasn’t able to;e to get up. Slightly bloody, so I called our first aid crew, He had been there about 5 minutes. G;ad I came by- no idea what the non-English speaking tent crew would have done.
One of our new tents we had set up in the parking lot caught the wind and flung a concrete block like a trebuchet! I’ll be repairing that today.

dinner on the deck last night with the in-laws – they got back from CO a few days ago.
This weather means wearing many layers. 55 degrees in the morning and 85 degrees during the day. It’s crazy!
My built-in insulation, read “fat”, means I’ve no need for layers yet. I cycled in shorts and a light t-shirt yesterday, and moved wood chips in the same attire today. When it gets in to the forties this weekend I will wear a long-sleeved t-shirt, and perhaps a light jacket.
I have to wear a sweater to get to work in the morning but then half the time I forget it in my office because it’s too hot when I leave in the evening.
So you have a nice collection at the office?
