Happy EAV Strut Eve! Or, as most of you know it, Friday. That’s right, this weekend is the annual EAV Strut, a day consisting of a parade, walking the closed streets of East Atlanta Village, listening to some live music, and day drinking. After twenty-seven years of being a bum, I have signed up to volunteer, appropriately for me as one of the cleanup crew.
With the beautiful weather predicted I will be spending a lot of time outdoors, away from screens. I’m trying to implement Project Time Out” a concept in which I spend at least two hours (preferably outside) working/exercising/frolicking before allowing myself to sit on my ass for any length of time. And, for the time that I am sitting, I am going to try to force myself to start reading, and finish reading, the plethora of books that I own.
This week’s lost item is the headlamp that I brought with me to GA Wild Foods Weekend last weekend. I thought I scanned my sleeping area well to ensure I packed everything, but I cannot located the headlamp now.

Wordle in 5 and had to have help. Not in my vocabulary.
I needed to let the gasket dry/set and will put some fluid in and see about leaks. If I have a leak I get to start over, but I will have a better idea and approach. Hopefully I can get moving past this and go for a ride later.

I know the solution as a verb, never heard it used as a noun.
Well, Merriam-Webster isn’t aware of your verb usage, so maybe you have an opportunity to school them. I’ve only ever known this word to be a noun.

It’s been a while since they closed the streets for the Strut. I stopped going when they stopped closing the streets. Not for that reason, but it coincided.
It is a good thing that I live in the relatively safe neighborhood of Candler Park. Yesterday after work I picked up the dog from daycare, and I always put my car fob in my front pocket. On the way home it worked itself out onto the seat without my noticing. When I got in to go to work today, the car was unlocked and the fob was right there on the seat.
Sara Bareilles was AMAZING. She played most of her new album and it was seriously life changing.
Paulie, you most likely shoved that headlamp in some place that made a ton of sense at the time, and it will probably surface when you least it expect it to. That’s how those things go for me, at least. I don’t outright lose stuff very often, but I sure can put it in some obscure fucking places.

Home from my third Trees Atlanta shift this week. Because I will be out of town early next week, wait for it, I won’t volunteer again until a week from today.
I also made a KroBar stop on the way home. Because I qualified for a 10%, up to $10 back, I bought some expensive things and am hoping they qualify. My total was $93, so I nearly shopped perfectly since spending $100 would have maximized my rebate.
I bought a $40 cast iron pizza pan, which is why I went to KroBar. I justified this purchase by abstaining from going out for lunch which would have cost me at least $30.
