This is my reminder to you, as well as myself, to never click on links in email if possible. Stupid me clicked on one, even though I KNOW BETTER, and wound up getting redirected to some weird site. I realized my stupidity quickly and closed the browser tab before anything really bad occurred.

Have a great weekend, all. I’ll be doing an anti-rain dance all weekend.

did you go to trivia last night?
did Stan destroy the septic so a big truck shows up this morning?

  2. Jenka says:

Emory IT periodically sends out really deceptive fake emails to both train employees not to click and also to test and see how many employees are duped by the emails. I never fall for it.

Kevin has been in an arbitration all week which has been a slog. He hasn’t gotten home until about 8:00 all week, so Finn and I have been chilling at home every evening. Last night he actually got home at 6:30 so we went to Surin for dinner. No plans this weekend other than being anxious about my new boss who starts on Monday.

    • Ionic Security used to as well, and if you failed you went to remedial training.

    • Barb says:

we get those emails – ALL THE TIME.
      I click nothing.
They sent out something about employee reviews – which was something you needed to click on – it was real, but I had already reported it & deleted it. Someday I’ll get it again, maybe – I hate review stuff – so I don’t care. I’m still getting paid.

      • Jenka says:

I absolutely hate annual reviews. If I do something wrong, tell me when it happens! Since my old boss is rolling off, we didn’t bother with it this year.

        • Barb says:

my boss hates them too – so I think is the 1st time in 4 years we might have to do something. That is – if they ever resend that email

  3. David says:

I pulled a Paulie move by vacillating over cheap John Mellencamp tickets and missed the window. Oh well, it’s not like I don’t have five or six other shows on the calendar this month.

    • Barb says:

is he playing with no opener? I keep seeing ads for the show
      David- there’s always Bob’s hill……..

      • David says:

No opener, he’s doing two sets with an intermission. I’ll keep Bob’s hill in mind. I’m sure as hell not getting on any goddamned one-wheels, though. 😉

        • Barb says:

I see a broken something if we tried riding a one-wheel

          • David says:

Yeah, a two-wheeled mountain bike was bad enough for me my first time out, there’s no I’m ever going down to one wheel in this lifetime.

Some of my favorite Farside cartoons have the caption “Trouble brewing”, and that definitely applies here. 😉

    Wordle in 4.

Back from 17. After adjusting the saddle height before leaving, it started sinking about halfway through. I think a new bolt that isnt stripped out will help greatly.

You can only imagine the number of spoof emails they se t out at the Fed. Plus annual security training and you couldn’t skip it. I was only caught in their trap once, back when I was an international criminal with my Irish speeding ticket. The spoof email had a similar number to something in the ticket summons and I clicked. Off to ding dong school I went.

    Safe, dry weekend all.

  5. Jenka says:

Just got a notice that we are expecting significant rain tomorrow in all of north GA. Paulie, I don’t know where you are, but it will probably affect you. Unless you went south. Heh.

    • Barb says:

he’s in Brevard, NC or somewhere near there
(I’m evil laughing – they didn’t get all that much rain during BRAG, maybe this weekend will make up for it?)

      • Jenka says:

Then yes, based on the notice I got that is in the path of the rain. Now, the Emory Emergency Preparedness office is notoriously hysterical about all weather, so it could turn out to be nothing.
