My productive morning yesterday was satisfying. My knee hurting again yesterday afternoon was disheartening.

Last night I baked another zucchini bread, this one being a savory zucchini bread. Yes, it still has some sugar, but unlike the one I baked last week, this one has many more eggs and far less sugar.

I’m not sure who at Amazon thinks it is a good idea, but all of the items I ordered a few days ago were delivered last night, a day ahead of the delivery date I chose. Were it a normal Wednesday evening I would have been at Betsy’s for dinner when it was delivered to my house. That being said, the spare tubes are in, the new seat bag is in, the water bottle cages are in, and all are installed. Now, I just need my body to return to a condition that will allow me to ride without pain. Also in my Amazon delivery was a remote control for my secondhand Blu-Ray player, thankfully it seems to work.

I was going to ride the newly-opened Beltline to Trees Atlanta this morning, but of course I can’t. I will drive there and hope that my knee doesn’t hurt while volunteering.

Wordle: three, my starter was DAIRY

Wordle in 5 and coulda been 4.

After a scooter ride midday yesterday, I decided to tackle the mostly final step of the French drain- level and lay in the pipe. I have an attachment for the tractor called a sub-soiled that is simply a blade that can dig below the surface. It did a pretty good job and all I had to do was shovel out the trench. Pipe laid in easily and now we see how well it drains.

Tried to cheer on Team Scotland against Brazil, but it was a lopsided affair and I’m pretty sure the Tartan Army is flying home. What a great PR job they did.

We were at a Mexican restaurant last night, with a table of Brazil jerseys next to us. Scotland didn’t have much of a chance.

Yeah, of course I was rooting for Scotland, but such is sport. The Red Sox blew their 6 run lead in the 9th inning last night, too.

But your packages would’ve been fine for a couple of hours. It’s not like it was in 2008 anymore.

Two of Kevin’s brothers came to visit yesterday. They live in LA with their wives and kids (well, they’re old and the kids are adults and live all over the country now) but they came east to see Kevin’s sister Kath and drove down yesterday to see us. It was great to catch up with them. I made a chicken casserole with a side of roasted cauliflower.

Paulie & I had exact matches on Wordle today

Allan & Katrina were in the garage attic looking at bikes – at least 2 are hers – she’s trying to decide if she wants Kevin to bring 1 back to Spain when he’s here.

… and as I was cleaning up and heading inside yesterday, I closed the main garage door on the shop and it got halfway down and stopped. Motor still running but pulley not moving. I’ll start on that chore next. It’s always something…

    • It’s always something…

Fortunately. A simple allen screw tightening was all it took and were back in business.

And in “As the eye doctor turns”- they got the call director fixed and I’m rescheduled. We might still gave a little chat…

I got in to an argument with my doctor once. Physical scheduled for 8:30 AM and he didn’t even show up to the office until after 9. As I was bitching about him being so late I realized that he will soon be sticking his finger up my butt so I shut up 🙂

  5. Back from Trees Atlanta. Thankfully knee didn’t stop me from doing anything. Also stopped at WLF@UFO on the way there to drop four bean plants into my plot.

Bowling started out terrible last night, I think my first game was like 150. Got it together by the 3rd game and managed a 217. We still lost all 4 points 🙁

Trying to get my shit together for a hash weekend in Brevard. It’s nice when you are not tent camping as you really don’t have to bring much. Staying in a cabin with Dean though, wish me luck.
