Another day of carousing yesterday. I met Hank and Chip for lunch at Lewis BBQ, where I had a massive order of anchors which were great. We headed to North Highland Pub afterward, where I had a few beers before heading home.
Those of you living north of the perimeter may be confused to read that I ad to run my sprinklers this morning because my small plants are dying. While I have a lot of water saved, I don’t have the time today to hand water all of Wee Little Farm.
This morning I am taking a few things over to CHaRM and then will be stopping at WLF@UFO to check on its progress, well, hopeful progress.
It appears that Hank is flying home tonight, instead of tomorrow. Our (probable) last gathering will at Schoolhouse, because BOGO. Barb, I can swing by and get the bicycle out of the Garage Mahal if you wish. I will settle my debts with a dinner sometime when it’s convenient for you.
Wordle: five, my starter was STRUM
was this autocorrected – & meant to me nachos? (massive order of anchors )
I’ll be here today, come get the bike whenever
Katrina & Clara “had to” change their flights (something got cancelled) – so now they are arriving 2:30ish. Allan will pick them up. Then the fun begins……
Need to think of things to do to entertain them – maybe I’ll ask Sally to take Katrina trail running. The only thing I have booked is whitewater rafting on Sunday.
Yes, nachos, not anchors. My aged teeth would be destroyed by the latter.
Expect me around noon. I will reach out as I get closer. Thanks!
Put cheese on it and I’ll eat anything.
Haha
Thought I might get a great deal on a 55” tv today, being one of Amazon’s “Prime Day”(s). Nope, not there nor at Best Buy. I will save the money…
I’ve dropped $100 at Amazon this morning. Mostly things I need, one $27 luxury. Some of my wishlist is “on sale” but I’m starting to feel cheap again.
Good morning! Good long weekend. Friday Emory was closed for Juneteenth and I spent all day long reading in bed. It was glorious. Then I reluctantly put on clothes and we went to Kevin Rathbun Steak for dinner. Saturday we did some errands in the morning, then went to the General Muir for lunch, then picked up Finn from his mom’s. We have him for this week and then he goes back to his mom’s for two weeks. (We had him for two weeks in June but one of those weeks was sleep-away camp.) Sunday we went to the Braves game, the weather was perfect and it was a fun afternoon.
Yesterday I had to appear at DeKalb County court for jury duty. I sat there for three hours reading my book and listening to them call names. Around 11:00 they called my name and said my case had settled, so I went home. Kevin was like, “what are you doing home?” (because he totally forgot I had jury duty) and I said, “they dismissed me,” and he thought I had gotten fired. LOL.
he thought you got fired – that’s awesome
Wordle in 5.
I guess breathing in concrete dust wasn’t good for my riding, as I struggled for 12 miles- and that included a stop! According to my Garmin watch, my training readiness this morning was a 4 (on a scale to 100).
Today’s adventures in farm ownership include determining why water pressure is low. I think the well picked up some crap and has fouled the strainers at various devices. The washer is the most concerning. This isn’t the first time, so I’m confident of the fix.

Bummer about the pressure.
Stopped briefly at WLF@UFO to check my bed, and unfortunately insects seem to be making a buffet out of my small plants. As growing years go, thus far, 2026 has been the worst since I started in earnest in 2021.
The farmhouse I grew up in had a well and I remember all the issues with it. I don’t miss that.
Ne has been pretty trouble free. It’s a PITA to change the filter (so I don’t do it often enough) and the occasional screen filter cleaning at individual outlets, but otherwise good water flow and no funny tastes.
If the ITP Estate were on well water WLF would be watered far more often. I can’t justify the cost of paying CoA for water/sewer by watering more often.
wow – I got Wordle in 4 today
Wunderbar!
