Well, I rode a century yesterday. One hundred miles on a frame on which I had never been, and with a chain and rear cassette which often had to negotiate before settling on an acceptable gear. But did it, and today I will suffer the ramifications of my choices made yesterday.

    Wordle in 4.

That bike has never ridden a century, so congratulations! My wheels and drivetrain have its moments- I’m sure your wheels and my drivetrain have even more. Tweak it as needed.

I think I’ve settled on all my rain gear selections and other scooter clothes. Now to squeeze it all onto the bike. My checklist is slowly shrinking..

Peer pressure got you – and you rode the century!
Now – what to do with that bandana???

looks like the rain has held off – has it?
We got 5 minutes of rain here yesterday.

Big tree gone – that crew did it fairly quietly – I was shocked.
I should have had had them leave some of the mulch. Oh well………

    • Jenka says:

It rained pretty heavily here between 4:00-5:00 and then lightly until about 6:00. But then it was bright sunlight.

Chilly this morning, it was 60 degrees when I left the house!

Kevin went to the Braves game with a friend last night. I had planned to take Finn to Fellini’s for a quick dinner, but we have one of his former teachers from his old school watching him this week, and they were having too much fun at the arcade, so he didn’t come home until almost 7:00 and he was already fed. So I got a quiet night at home.

Last night was Fellini’s night with Lucas. We’ve been hitting the Ponce location as of late because it’s easier to get to. I heard a reggae remake of Whole Lotta Love cranked up to 11…they do like their music loud at that location.

      • Jenka says:

I was disappointed because I had been looking forward to pizza all day. But a quiet night at home was WAY better.

I’ve never been to the Ponce location. Ironically, I’ve ONLY been to the Ponce location of La Fonda and never been to the one across from Fellini’s in Candler Park, which is 7 blocks from my house.

        • Barb says:

I actually went to Fellini’s on Sunday (for the 1st time in forever) – but the one on LaVista over in Oak Grove

        • David says:

Hah! I haven’t been to La Fonda in decades. I think I tried it when it first arrived in Buckhead, and just wasn’t impressed, so I always stick with the pizza. I know that I’m the outlier on this.

18 in the books. Lovely cool morning.

Not sure the wind today will be to BRAGs advantage.

  5. Barb says:

Brag today is technically a rest day – so, the wind on the way to a brewery will be their only issue

OH yeah – I had my cognitive test for the Emory brain study yesterday- yep – I feel dumb & am I getting dementia already?
MRI isn’t until July, but the other blood test stuff is 6/16

    • Steve says:

I forgot to check in with you to see how dumb you feel. I know I do! BTW, that’s the same test they gave Trump, which “he aced!” By his own admission.

      • Barb says:

who, I ask you who, can remember 20 random words & repeat them back?

        • Steve says:

Not me. It was embarrassing at times. And they read them pretty quickly, which is also part of the problem- as you’re trying to file them away, here comes another one!
