As I mentioned yesterday, the frame of my bike broke yesterday. Add another item to the “Weird Things That Happen To Paulie” list. Thanks to the generosity of ITP-Reader Steve I am probably out suffering as you read this. But, suffering beats abandoning. Today’s destination: Carrollton.
Wordle: five, my starter was SOUPY
Steve is a mensch!!!
And if it’s any consolation, my ex-wife had the same thing happen when she was 8. Nonetheless, it sounds nightmarish, and kudos on your recovery!
Next door neighbor is having a big tree taken down today -that is right next to the property line – and it leans towards our garage/house.
A few years ago we asked if they would want to split the cost – and they said no.
I have no idea why they are taking it down, but we are super happy about it.
As a fellow home-owner, that is a total win!
Wordle in 6! And coulda been 3!!!
I hope it all works out with the bike. That’s actually a very nice drive I done on the scooter previously, using Ga 100 instead of 27. Funny thing is, I’ll be using it Thursday to begin my trip and avoid morning rush in Atlanta.
As I was driving up yesterday, there was a farmer haying his field. He was on a decent uphill when the baler ejected the bale and down the hill it rolled!! It had plenty of momentum and I’m not sure the fence could hold it!! Sadly, it was out of sight before I knew the result, but I didn’t notice any holes in fences on the way home.

I have never broken a frame – but I know Allan has (but – on his mtn bike)
Paulie, where did the frame break?
At a weld?
Any decent welding shop should be able to weld it (braze it).
Aluminum? TIG/MIG.
Good on you for getting back up.

Right at the rear derailleur dropout at the chainstay. Looks pretty clean, so should be an easy warranty fix.
wordle in 5, but could have been 3!
Steve to the rescue! Hope you had a beer with the group for your pains.
Turns out we have two seasons of Top Chef to catch up on. So after we took Finn to sushi we started the second-to-latest season. Both of our baseball teams had the day off so we took advantage of the baseball-free evening.
