Maybe it was my Wordle failures, but probably not. Maybe it was because no one seemed to care for my pimento cheese on focaccia, but probably not. Whatever it was, I fell into a major funk yesterday that I just couldn’t shake.

I was going to escape the city today, until I recalled the 285 shutdown this weekend which starts at 7pm tonight.

Wherever I am it is unlikely that I will be very responsive today. Have a good weekend, everyone.

Wordle: five, my starter was ANISE

  2. Not sure why, but all of the pepper plants I have started this year are stunted. I don’t think that I have done anything differently than in past years. It’s weird to think that I may get almost no peppers out of Wee Little Farm this year. Hope that I am wrong.

I apparently missed the pimento cheese/focaccia table yesterday while perusing the blog yesterday, otherwise I would have chowed down.

Greetings from Gate D16, about to embark on an overnight to Orlando. Touchless ID security took under a minute. Definitely the only way to fly.

Wordle in 5. They seem to be on a tough roll lately. Hopefully we get back to a normal level of tough.

My tractor is acting up again!! Not only is the fuel gauge not working since the last time I worked on it, now it’s stalling again. It might finally be the fuel filter, but it doesn’t apppear to be load related. I will not give up.

Currently dressed to ride, but it’s still a bit brisk outside. May have to check the weather and wind before I depart.

Sorry you’re in a funk. I bet a bike ride would improve your mood.

wordle in 5 – but coulda been less…..

another uneventful day – did eat dinner & watch TV outside on the deck – it got a little chilly, so I had to get a blanket. Gardenias are in full bloom/fragrance mode.

  6. Jenka says:

I don’t know about you all, but I would eat the fuck out of pimento cheese on focaccia sandwiches (and then take a nap).

I am LOVING this perfect weather! I would be happy if it stayed like this all summer.

This weekend the Red Sox are in town to play the Braves. We are going to tonight’s game as well as Sunday. GO SOX!

I have a friend from Boston – not sure which night or nights they are going, but I know they are going.

  7. Because of the lack of rain I’m trying to decide how to proceed with Wee Little Farm.

    • Speaking of farming, I’m still waiting to hear about an allotment at Red’s Farm. If I’m being honest, I think my status as a white male, even of an advanced age, is going to exclude me from getting one. In theory I should hear back over the weekend.

  8. Steve says:

Back from 17. The wind forecast was wrong! 3-5 was 10-15.

  9. Started out on a long walk but quickly remembered I am in the process of making rolls. By the time I returned the first proof was done, now into the second.

  10. Jenka says:

Embarrassment of riches, I have two separate free lunches today! One from our last executive committee meeting of the year that went way long so we provided Alon’s sandwiches. Also today is Emory’s Staff Fest and they provided Community Q, which I am currently eating.

    • David says:

What? No pimento cheese on focaccia? What fresh hell is that? 😉

I could have had a free lunch. Walked into the banquet room, couldn’t easily spot an empty seat, heard all of the noisy conversations, and said “Nope! Not today.”

    • Barb says:

no free lunch for me, met a couple friends at the Marietta Market Food hall – it always seems to cost around $20. But – the bulgogi beef bowl was tasty.
      I should get a whole $1 from upside – we will see…..

    • Jenka says:

I put a couple of Alon’s sandwiches in the fridge for Monday’s lunch.
