Yesterday I listened to an album I love — “Carnavas” by Silversun Pickups and came to the shocking realization that this was released twenty years ago. (It doesn’t seem that I saw them at Drunken Unicorn for that tour nearly that long ago!) Because of this, I’ve come up with an interesting (to me since these are records I love) timeline: each of these albums was released twenty years apart.

“Lifes Rich Pageant” – REM (1986)
“Revolver” – The Beatles (1966)
There were a lot more well-known albums released in 2006, but I chose “Carnavas” since that’s the one that got me thinking.
Perhaps it’s my perception of time, or aging, but each of these successive gaps seem to grow larger than twenty years.
Additionally, the five-year period of 2002-2007 was probably the last era in which I fell in love with a lot of new music. At the time I was streaming college/indie rock all day as I had access to Sirius/XM at work.
Wordle: FAIL, my starter was MUSIC. Perhaps it’s time I quit Wordle?
Well, that would be the end of the Wordle as we know it. Would you feel fine?

Sally & I watched Survivor last night – on the day it was broadcast, but we started 20+ minutes late – so we could still fast forward thru the commercials.
Next week is the finale – its been interesting this season, I wonder who will end up winning – most have played the game well.
Wordle in 6. Was hoping for some redemption after yesterday, but no.
I’ll be laying low today, as prescribed by the nice NP who did the spinal tap. No issues until she went to pull the needle out and there was an “electric shock” in my groin. She said she might have bumped a nerve on the way out. Nothing since.
Some of the ladies from Debbie’s office came to inspect the puppies and have lunch yesterday. I had their leftovers for dinner.
It’s dry at the moment at the Giro, but most riders have their rain jackets in their pockets. Yesterday’s stage had 2 off the front and they each crashed in the last 15k. Still managed to stay away. Nuts.

I’ll be doing my 3rd cognitive tests & then the medical stuff in June. (its every 2 years)
I normally do it all in one visit, but I was going off on the scooter the day after I had the MRI, so the lumbar puncture was rescheduled. And funsies!!
And I learned they have plenty of white women in the study, but still could use more white males (and any other color, for that matter) so you GUYS get over there! I think it was paying $250. I’d still do it as I think it’s worthwhile, but the gift card is a bonus.

Remember last week I picked up my monthly CSA box and most of it was leafy greens? A LOT of greens. They’ve mostly been taking up room in the fridge since then and all of it had gone soft, almost to mold. So I cooked them all down with some onions and garlic, a shot of miso paste, and some smoked chiles for a kick and pureed it into a soup that I am affectionately calling green sludge. This is the healthiest thing I will eat this year. I was reading a nutrition article this morning that said collards have just as much calcium as milk.
Geez. I think about Silversun Pickups and a very new band. Oy.

Wordle fail! I had 4 green letters in 4 then swing and a miss (twice).
Puppy day care was great! Izzy was worn out when she got home and slept like a rock last night.
Porch project is going well, 5 more posts then railings. May get some done during the day today and should finish it up tomorrow.
Ramble tonight is more of a bimble as Jim’s brother is in town so we are playing mini golf then going to eat.
Nothing will make you feel older than your kid graduating high school.
Back from my Trees Atlanta shift; my pimento cheese on focaccia was not a hit. Oh well.
Received an email from Peacock alerting me to a $30/year price increase. Needless to say, I’m getting tired of the increase in prices.
And I am breaking up with Disney/Hulu/ESPN next week. I will be down paying for BritBox (for now?), AppleTV (shareholder and it’s part of my cloud bundle), Peacock (for one more year), and YouTube Premium. In order I watch YouTube > BritBox > Peacock > AppleTV, which is funny since AppleTV will be the one I never cancel.
We went & voted – I don’t know what budget pays for the workers – but there were WAY TOO MANY people working. The parking lot had at least 10 people – maybe 2 or 3 would have been more than enough.
Just spent more time outside potting up tiny pepper and tomato seedlings. I’m tired and need a shower.
Was hoping doing that would knock the funk out of me.
