I baked a loaf of bread yesterday morning. Unfortunately I didn’t bake the loaf that I wanted to bake, since I didn’t realize that I accidentally turned the virtual page to another recipe. By the time I realized my error, it was too late. As I used this bread to make a ham sandwich last night I realized that it would be excellent for muffulettas.
I also swung by a house and picked up some oak logs which were on their curb. I didn’t take them all, just enough to either use for mushroom growing, or dry out for a fire next year. I was intending to buy mushroom spawn plugs while in South Carolina this weekend and drill them into these logs soon…
Wordle: three, my starter was WAGER
Wordle in 4 and coulda been 3!
A busy day, including a late lunch and a couple beers. I really didn’t have time, but what can you do, as it included another recently retired co-worker. Catch up today…
The late lunch was cause for no dinner and only light snacking.
The new season of Jeopardy started last night- I know you’re all thrilled, but it’s my daily habit, much like a certain blog…

I seriously couldn’t tell you the last time I watched something on “regular” tv, outside of sports.
we don’t watch Jeopardy every night, but do occasionally.
We’ve got about a dozen ears of sweet corn to cook for dinner tonight, if any of y’all are in the neighborhood. I will be cutting it off the cobs & freezing for use later.
Sweet corn sounds good.
I am meeting my buddy Shelby somewhere tonight for a few beers, so no corn nor bike riding for me tonight.
We watch Jeopardy a couple of times per week, usually when we have Finn and I’ve made dinner so we watch while we eat.
I guess today is New iPhone Announcement Day, or me, Tuesday, this year.
Barb, are you back in Marietta or did you overnight in Greenville, SC after going up I-85? 😀
OMG – don’t get me started about that ride home.
But – we only were on 85 a short time, then 400, and we almost missed the exit for 285 (& kep going up 400) – TJ is driving fine, he just doesn’t listen (or understand) when we tell him directions.
Doesn’t he live across the street from you?
YES!!!!!! That is why it was so crazy.
Just pretend you are going home???!!!!
The mental decline is becoming more & more evident.
Sushi as usual last night. Kevin has given up on the Braves and my game wasn’t on until 10:00, so we watched two episodes of The Bear.
I’m slightly interested in the 17 Air. Sometime I will have to give up my 12 mini and I am dreading having a larger phone. The 16s are SO big!
your eyes are better than mine – I could never deal with a mini phone.
With my bifocals I can read small type just fine. I also have prescription readers that are the prescription of the reading part of my bifocals which makes computer work easier.
I’m still (financially) interested in Apple products, though since I bought the 16 Pro last year. And since I didn’t get on the Apple lease program again (due to my error), my phone is mine to keep for another few years, especially since cracking the back when I fell on my bike a few months ago…
I was about to call you out for having sushi on Tuesday, as I was in the office yesterday and it has thrown me off completely!! Grrr…
TJ is part of our Games committee FB group and comments on things… inappropriately. Not rude, just sort of, “huh?”. Sadly, his decline is not news.
I am glad you are keeping me to a tight schedule! LOL!
Another Vuelta stage finish ruined by protesters. I think I’m done with it.
Apple Event basically tells you that the awesome, expensive device you bought last year that great because this year’s devices are so much better!
Invention is the mother of necessity, at least according to the marketing department.
