Wordle in 5. Yesterday’s starting word was YEAST, so I assumed a double letter and /y ending. It might have required a little subterfuge to get in 6.

Afternoon storms caused my flight to be delayed 2 hours leaving Miami. The good news is the work is as far as we could go and completed and I don’t think I’ll have to go back. The other wire closet won’t be ready until next Spring and that will be SEP (somebody else’s problem)

Already dressed to ride and would be gone, but I forgot to put my phone on the charger, so giving it an hour.

Happy Independence Day. Pray we make it to 250.

Massive success yesterday. Firstly I finally fixed my name with Delta, I had submitted the request form and accompanying documentation to change my name and instead of that happening it locked me out of my account. I finally got on the help chat yesterday and succeeded in the name change and I also got my existing ticket reissued in my new name. Whew! Now on to my passport. Turns out that when you renew that by mail you need to send in an actual photo. Like a real photo!

Then we headed up to the cabin, stopping at Lowe’s to pick up the converter. The gas company guys came to install the stove and opened the converter to find that it was for a dryer. A DRYER. The he pulls the stove out of the wall and found the right converter duck taped to the back of the stove! Agony and ecstasy within 30 seconds! They installed the stove and we now have a working appliance. I am going to make a casserole!

It’s at least 5 degrees cooler up here.

  3. Oh, and tomorrow I’m going to a Durham Bulls game!

Cedar Rapids Kernels play tomorrow night, taking Dad is almost impossible.

Good news, Jenka and very jealous, Paulie.

In from 31 hot miles on the road bike. Kept to smaller N/S roads to have shade as much as possible and that seemed to work.

Next on the agenda- rest, shower, lunch, nap.
