    Wordle in 4.

A lazy day yesterday. Unloaded and unpacked. Went to the audiologist to determine my left aid has mostly died. As they are over 4 years old, and despite not using them very often, I think I will get new ones as they want $350 for each one for a years’ warranty and repair. Insurance will foot the bill for new ones.

I did take the Mazda out for a little test drive. I cleared a misfire code and don’t have any tranny codes, but I think something is wrong. Not sure how to proceed.

And there’s a CX race Sunday at the brewery in Gay and I was asked to chief, so no WH for me.

Wordle in 4 – thought I might fail.

We did nothing again last night – this work thing (fall peak season, diesel fuel prices are insane, so more people are looking for intermodal rates) It is kicking my butt.
Still watching Brokenwood here & there –
We figured out the DVDs starting in season 7 had 2 episodes per disc – so we had to go back & watch a few missed episodes, and things make more sense now.
    – the 1st 6 seasons only have 1 episode per disc

We went to Wahoo for dinner and then watched an episode of Top Chef.

Crockpot chili is happily cooking itself as we speak.

I was tired all day yesterday, when will I learn to have a buffer day off when I take a trip. 12 hour drive from Bentonville makes for a long day. However, it was well worth it! So many good times in AK. Lots of riding, lots of laughs, I even did a hash. Wankers of OZ put on a really tough 6 mile trail in the middle of nowhere. Tough miles but the views were amazing!
Looking forward to seeing most of you on Saturday

    • Barb says:

busy biking weekend – Roswell greenway Saturday & Talking Rock Wheelhopper Sunday
We have a Halloween party to go to in Canton Saturday night – may have to bail on that – we will see – gotta get up early to get the trail laid on Sunday

  5. Steve says:

So Mazda is at the doctor and I’m waiting on Debbie to fetch me. Not really interested in riding through Newnan traffic, but might to pick it up.

  6. Back from as a productive-as-I-could-be morning

    Voted
Stopped at Value Village and Dollar Tree on Memorial
Tried to pay CoA/Dekalb property taxes but was told they’ve not been settled yet which is why I hadn’t received my bill
Shopped at Nam Dae Mun (now branded as NDM Market) on Memorial
    Shopped at Aldi on Memorial

Though I didn’t output the big bucks, I certainly spread some cash around today.

    • Bought ground lamb at Aldi, will be constructing a Shepherd’s Pie in the near future.

      • Jenka says:

Yesterday I ran across a recipe for bratwurst cabbage rolls. So I bought bratwurst and cabbage last night and I am ruminating on a cheesy bratwurst cabbage roll recipe that riffs on the one I saw yesterday.

        • Barb says:

I haven’t been cooking much at all – I need to make real dinner again soon.

Tonight is Tasty China though – Ken is coming over for some bike work, so he’s buying dinner

          • Jenka says:

I cut back on my cooking a lot because Kevin and I don’t eat much anymore. But I like to spend a Sunday afternoon puttering around the kitchen.

      • Additionally I bought a pork butt at Nam Dae Mun that may go into the crockpot on Saturday to be eaten for dinner, or perhaps Sunday?

  7. Also, never went to The EARL to inquire about the Telehealth show. When I got home from my dealings yesterday I was worn out and almost immediately fell asleep.

  8. Barb says:

a friend in Nebraska went to a book reading/signing/whatever they do with Craig Johnson – the Longmire author.
So – I decided to look up his tour – since Allan really enjoys the books.
He will be in Cartersville at the Booth Western museum 11/5. I think we might go.
    Something totally different to do.
