Many thanks to ITP-Reader Jenka. As of yesterday I am using the LibraryThing app to catalog my books and have cataloged 66 books so far. Now, if I could figure out the best way, or at least a way, to shelve all of my books in order to get them off the floor.
Wordle: five, my starter was FREON
Off to a different plan already. The original plan was to wake insanely early, as I do, putter around, shower, and then drive to Trees Atlanta by 8am to help out with the tree sale pickups.
However, I slept until 6:40am! I have also been feeling run down and sore this week, so I decided that since I hadn’t officially committed to volunteering this morning, I’d give myself a break.
I’ve eaten some reheated pancakes with peanut butter for breakfast, and am drinking some coffee. The world is my oyster, which is not ideal since I hate oysters…
Wordle in 5 and coulda been 4.
After my short ride yesterday, I’m hoping to get a longer one in today.
Mostly puttered around the house doing chores yesterday.
Barb, you’re right, Talking Rock is a helluva long way from here!
-FP
Having no idea where Talking Rock is, I just looked it up. Interesting… Near Talking Rock is a town called Whitestone, which intrigues me since I lived in New York’s Whitestone as a kid.
Allan still hasn’t gotten the 10/25 date off – the system just still says pending.
So – we will see what we end up doing
too much work yesterday but made time for a fairly long walk last night with Sally – it was right around 6 miles around the neighborhood.
Good on ya! While I did two walks yesterday, I’ve not done a long walk in a while.
Finally my master’s in library science is paying off! So glad you like the app. I am still working through all my books, I do it in spurts and then leave it for months.
We had the nanny watch Finn and went to Barbacoa for Thaco Thursday. Got home in time to watch the Braves game, which they won, which means the Braves are going on to the NLCS. I know you all care. 🙂
My boss is traveling today so I get to work from home! Typing this in my jammies at the dining room table.
I was hoping the Phillies would knock out the Braves. That’s how much I hate the Braves, even though I have lived in Atlanta for nearly 31 years.
No Braves fan here since they left Atlanta for the ‘burbs. And I’m barely following g anyone else. Are the Cubs in it?
you whiny people – the Braves are BARELY not in Atlanta -and – they have a ATL address.
Don’t call me whiny! I’ve hated the Braves since I moved to Atlanta (for a job), essentially when they became good and never faltered.
I simply stopped considering going to a game since they moved OTP. And there is A LOT of traffic now between my house and where they play.
Per ITP-Reader Stacy the Cubs apparently were in it and have been bounced.
It doesn’t matter who all you follow because the Dodgers are going to win anyway.
Probably true.
I somehow ended up with 699 Kroger Fuel Points for September. Had I only spent one more dollar…
Bought four items at Kroger today, mainly since 4x Fuel Points offer is available until 10/6. Of those four items — chicken thighs, beef patties, cheese, mushrooms — the first two were on clearance, the third was on sale, and only the fourth was full price.
When I read the things I type on my iPhone after sending/posting, it is abundantly clear that I can’t type on my iPhone, and that autocorrect is useless.
One of my work colleagues has a weird autocorrect on her computer for my name and sometimes she doesn’t notice. So every once in a while I get an email from her saying “Hi Junk.” It’s HILARIOUS.
Haha
I used to live in Avondale (one wife ago) and Microsoft corrected it to avoidable.
Spent ten minutes outside doing light gardening, and broke a sweat. Tired of it all…
All I did was chop a half bed of cover crops, planted some beet seeds, and watered that half bed, before breaking out into a sweat.
The Barcycle, my new trusty means of Beltline transport, needs to be looked at by someone with mechanical skills. Barb, I think you know where I am headed with this… There is now a great chance that I will be headed to Schoolhouse on Tuesday for BOGO and October’s four pack. Would it be okay if I dropped the bike off? If Allan is around I can explain what I am hearing, if not I can make another trip your way when it’s convenient for him. Being an “n+1” bike household, I have other ways of getting around, so there is no sense of urgency to get this fixed (other than space in the Garagemahal).
Allan should be home Tuesday – I will let him know
I lied (sort of) – he will be home Tuesday afternoon – he is at Hyox in the morning
Can’t believe you lied to me, Barb!
I will drink first and come by afterward to improve my chances that he will be there. Regardless, I will drop the bike off.
she should be home I’d think by 1:00-1:30 – do you really need to be there when they open? 😉
I need to get through The Connector when they are open and there is as little traffic as possible.
I am getting the usual hysterical emails from Emory’s emergency preparedness office regarding possible rain tomorrow. They are saying 1-2″.
1-2” is virtually nothing. If the City/County/State would keep the sewer/drainage grates clean, there would be a smaller chance of street flooding.
19 in the books. South on Iron Horse for 8, turn around and break off at the Country Store to climb up to Pine Mtn. F, that was tough as I’m on the road bike and it seems to need a new chain.
Well done. Even though I hate my current weight I just can’t be bothered anymore.
Back from a nearly three-mile walk. I need to start reintroducing exercise into my daily life, because I’m a 61 year old man, and thus have increased probably of bad things happening to me.
Funny all your talk about Talking Rock as that is where I’m sitting currently. Stopped at talking rock brewing for a beverage and map stop. I decided to get lost on small roads and ended up here. I think Calhoun is next. Maybe even a stop at reformation in Canton on the way back. Who knows
Keep living the dream, Bob.
