I need to put a PostIt note on the bathroom mirror that reads “Remember you are ate beets” so that I don’t freak out the next day after doing so.

I went out to see if I captured a bottle full of condensation at 7pm last night, I had not. What I discovered was how dry Wee Little Farm was and how some of the plants were near death. So, even though it’s supposed to rain this weekend I decided to set the sprinklers to run this morning.

I have a penchant to make my own sausages. I keep researching meat grinders, eschewing the notion to buy a meat grinder attachment for my fancy-pants KitchenAid mixer. I may have already purchased a meat grinder if I had stopped reading Amazon comments… And the I talked myself into buying a lesser-powered model from a manufacturer called LEM, but as I went to look at it online again the lesser-power model disappeared from Amazon. Weird. At 61 will I spend more on a grinder, and maybe even a sausage stuffer, than I will spend on sausages the rest of my life? Most likely, yes. Oh, and with a decent meat grinder I will also be able to bring my own beef for burgers, meatloaves, etc. #TradMan

Good morning- last day of riding was cut short, not really sure why. We only went maybe 6 miles, but did stop at a super cool bee farm. The owner, is/was full of lots of words per Ivan, so they had to cut his presentation off.
Paulie- Goram (spelling ?) would convince you to become a beekeeper as part of your Trad Life goals.

    • If not for the cost, space needed, and the fact that every beekeeper gets stung, I’d be a beekeeper. Except for getting stung, the same goes for chickens.

      • Barb says:

Goram says bee sting poison can be good to keep arthritis away or slowed down. So…… how about that.
And- something called propolis is good for what ails you, help wounds heal, cold sores heal, sore throats, the did talked a lot, was very entertaining.
(I bought a small little bottle of the propolis. We will see)

Need more explanation of you are beets please -I’m slow I guess

  3. Barb says:

Ride was cut short so we’d have time for 1 last swim stop. Excellent idea, since we never had a swim stop yesterday. It was our last one, we are all sad.

    Wordle in 3.

Up early to go ride, then take 2 horses to the vet. Debbie had someone going, but she bailed. The truck seemed to survive me working on it. I determined it was only running on 1 battery since we’ve owned it. Very odd.

Barb, these short riding days sound disappointing and not what I would expect from a BRAG event.

When you are on a schedule with the ports, sometimes it happens.
But- this crew is here to ride, but to sightsee too.

    • Jenka says:

Is this the truck that died in SC? Maybe that contributed to it.

      • Steve says:

Yes. I have a theory that the second battery was disconnected at some point which contributed to the quick demise once the belt broke. We could never fold in the mirrors if the truck wasn’t running and now it’s easy.

Stay away from my dog! Lol.

I met my friend Sarah at The Beverly last night. The food was good, service was good, and it had enough TVs so that we could watch tennis and football. But they had a DJ playing really loud music, which seemed odd to me on an otherwise normal Wed night. Like, it wasn’t a special event or anything, they just had a guy playing music and everyone inside was talking to each other as best they could.

Red Sox lost, Patriots lost. It was a bad day for New England.

  6. Steve says:

20 in the books. Now on the way to BFE Alabama to the vet.

    Update:
Day 1 of Assisted Living is in the books.
The “mover”, it turns out, is actually a super-talented interior designer.
The woman and her team moved stuff from 3 different locations, unloaded, then assembled and configured it all in his apartment.
Arranged furniture, hung paintings, prints, photos, made and dressed the bed, unpacked clothes, etc.
    No charge for this service.

We are going over later today, but the brief video I saw resembled a cross between the Four Seasons and the Capitol City Club “sportsman room”.

Everything is familiar to him because it all came from his house: furniture, oil paintings, framed sporting prints, knick-knacks, etc.

And his floor has its own chef.
    Choose from a daily menu.
And “Nutty Buddy” ice cream cones are available on demand.
In-house PT, a physician, nurses, meds management, etc.
Dentists can make visits onsite, as required.

ATT Gig Internet and TV content. Telephone in room.

If he can’t be happy there, he can’t be happy anywhere.
(We are still holding our breath.)

  8. Back from my Trees Atlanta shift. No shift next Thursday, what will I do? 🙂

Windy five mile return ride, and I decided it was too hot to stop at UFO.

Trojir city tour dine, only 300 meters x 800 meters. Every cool old city

    • Jenka says:

This one I couldn’t figure out so I looked it up on the map. It appears that the whole city of Trojir is 300m X 800m. Now I want to go there!

      • Barb says:

        I need to proofread.
Yes, tiny island, all old town stone walks & shinny walkways. . So many church bells – you may not want to stay there. And the airport is very nearby. – so planes overhead.
