Wordle in 6 and should have been 4!
Left Inverness and stopping at the castle from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, before we get to Edinburgh and hop on the train south.
A nice dinner last night, but still no vegetables on the menu, though there was a salad choice.
We almost bought it in a traffic circle this morning. Some bigger circles in town have signals, but just because your light is green doesn’t stop it from being a traffic circle. Close call.

Wordle in 6 – not my day.
On the 5.5 hr ferry again- different ferry line, slightly different stops.
Matt & Amy just got to the hotel, they are chilling watching the water, hoping the hotel will let them check in early.
We should get back there about 2-2:30 (when everyone else is waking up, except Paul, who wakes up way too early)
I don’t set an alarm or anything, I just wake up early…
Putting a traffic signal in a traffic circle removes the point of a traffic circle. I’ve only seen a stop sign at a traffic circle once, which also performs the same negation.
Actually, it does work for turning traffic. We just didn’t put all that together, that other drivers also have a green light.
After our return to the hotel around noon, got showered & just chilling out, I managed to actually take a 2 hour nap.
I guess the heat & steps wore me out.
Had late lunch / early dinner at a little place by the bus stop, Jacks Burgers & Beer.
It was a permanent little building, but really, a food truck. Awesome burger!
Got back to the hotel, there were finally chairs open, so hung at the pool.
Decided to use our bus pass 1 more time, went down the line to a swanky hotel on the water to watch the sunset. If we wanted to spend a bunch of €€€€€, we will stay there next time.
Through the MP castle (and Outlander, which I learned). Well done audio tour with straight castle history, then hit play again and get the MP info and audio from the movie.
On to Edinburgh, drop Meg and catch the train.
We went to Surin for dinner. No baseball last night so we watched an episode of the second-to-latest season of Top Chef.
Back from volunteer shift #1. I have showered, a, considering lunch, and the a nap prior to driving to volunteer shift #2 later this afternoon.
I didn’t bring lunch and I was too lazy to go get anything, and then a chicken salad sandwich fell in my lap.
I hope it didn’t mess up your clothes. Haha
Good answer!
Paulie, I tried texting you, but as I only have internet and no phone, it went nowhere. We get in around 8pm Sunday and may be able to clear customs in the UK. Is your schedule free for a pickup?
You are lucky that I couldn’t find anywhere to go this weekend. None of the minor league teams I want to see are playing home games. It’s a late round trip for me as I’m usually in bed by 9:30pm, wish you were landing earlier, but I am available.
You’re a wild man! Thank you sir. You may get texts from Debbie before our departure.
Go to the hotel around 2:30 – met up with Matt & Amy, they got up way too early to fly from Sicily, thru Munich, to Split. We got checked in, we all decided to chill for a while in our rooms until 4. Found a bar for a beverage, pre-dinner gelato, then dinner at a Dalmatian food restaurant. We finally had some rest Croatian food. Watched the sunset from the restaurant, came back & took our 1st dip in the Adriatic Sea. (Hotel even supplied the beach towels.)
We need to do some laundry in the morning, so getting up early to see what the hotel provides for breakfast, & be to the laundry place at 0800am, get back & checked out by 11.
Place to meet the boat is only about 20 minutes by Uber. Could take the bus, but it’s gonna be hot again, don’t feel like walking to the bus stop.
