Stacy sure threw a fast ball over home plate yesterday. Sheesh! Good on ya, Stacy.
I thought I did good with Wordle in 3 until my Debbie upstaged me in 2.
I can get 2 extra $5 tickets to aee Bob Dylan at Chastain Friday night, if any
one wants to go. Lucinda Williams and Jimmie Vaughn (Stevie Ray’s brother) are opening.
He sucked abysmally when I saw him 25 years ago. I saw him at Ameris a couple of years ago and he wasn’t terrible. He wasn’t good, but he wasn’t terrible. I definitely wouldn’t pay more than $5 to see him. We will absolutely cut our losses if he’s godawful again.
2 trips to Smyrna (Wade Ford) Allan’s 1st oil change & whatever recall thing are done.
The morning trip at 9:30-10:00 wasn’t so bad -but the trip over to get there before 6pm SUCKED – I really don’t know if I could handle much of a commute anymore.
Goodbye luncheon yesterday with the old dean, our chief of staff, and me. We went to Mali. I think they have the best basil rolls. I had to work late but we still made it to sushi for dinner.
Red Sox are on the left coast this whole week so I’m not watching any baseball.
So I bought a quick connect device for the tractor. It mounts on the 3 point hitch and then you can scoop up your attachment, hook up the PTO line and go. I got it installed and adjusted, hooked up the mower and was off. Only within the first 50 yards of mowing, I notice something out of the corner of my eye- the mower, slowly rolling down the hill behind me! When you connect to your attachment, you lift the hitch. When I mow without the new QC, you would lower the mower all the way down and it rides on its wheels. NOW I can’t do that as that would be the “disconnect” position. Oops. No harm, no foul, and I was able to catch up to it and get re-connected.
In from turning compost and watering WLF ahead of what should be a very hot day, followed by a few days of heat without rain. Set the sprinklers to fire Friday morning. This should be enough to keep everything alive until
It rains again next week.
Related: WLF is a nightmare currently and in dire need of a proper cleanup.
Unrelated: a dead branch fell onto my brick patio, no damage done to anything on the patio. Regarding this branch it was when, and not if, it would fall. I was actually going to cut it down this winter so Mother Nature once again did some work for me.
Wordle in 5 and Connections fail. I did not have the patience for connections today.
Got a call from the transmission shop, I don’t think I have ever been so happy to get a $500 estimate for repairs. I was expecting so much more. If all goes well I’ll get back on the road tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Allan had some Ford website credits – (no idea what those are/were, I think they told us about it when we bought the truck, but that is long forgotten info)
So he got his oil change for free. I doubt we will ever go back to a dealership again (unless we have to), so it was good we got to use them

I don’t like Bob Dylan enough to even pay $5.
Sorry David – he’s a great song writer, but I’m not a fan of his singing.
Just putting it out there, he’s definitely a total crap shoot. Debbie hasn’t ever seen him, but she’s fully prepared. 🙂
I have heard from other people that he has declined so much that he’s not a good performer. But I will be interested to hear your take.

I saw him in ’95 or ’96 as an undergrad at college – he was terrible even then.
I won’t be around Friday night, and really don’t enjoy Dylan enough if I were.

Besides that – nothing going on…………..
and – Wordle in 4 – I actually decided to play early today

Wordle in 3. Congrats to Debbie on the deuce.

Off to Costco and other errands this morning.

Good on you all for missing the Wordle traps into which I fell today. Happy enough not to fail.

That’s great news, Bob!
$500? Shit, you are loving right! I can’t seem to get out of routine maintenance for less than that these days.
