My last day as a sixty year old finds me in a classroom in Clemson, SC. I’m taking a course in the essentials of organic farm certification. I’m considering becoming an inspector, in order to make a few dollars to compensate for my five years of a lack of income.

My poor plant husbandry continues as more of my seedlings continue to die. This is getting depressing. Upon returning from the organic farm essentials workshop I am attending this week I am going to try to start again from square one.

Wordle: three, my starter was ANISE

  1. While in South Carolina I might have to throw my hat into the senatorial race…

    Wordle in 2!

After a very efficient morning yesterday of getting $hit done, I did some chores around the house. My new fan is attached to the tractor and works pretty well. Straightwired to the battery, so I better remember to turn it off when done.

Read about a greenway in Carrollton and might do a little research and take a drive. Did y’all use it during BRAG?

TT this morning and I think it has a climb. Probably won’t change much GC.

Carrollton Greenway is pretty decent for what it is. Maybe 15 miles long? Good for a change of scenery.

I got 42 miles in the saddle yesterday with my newly minted 17 year old. Our quest was to get to Mile 0 of the Silver Comet from Reynoldstown. I had hoped that the dribbling of new connector trails on the Westside would provide a smoother route, but it’s the same as it ever was. So the route I figured out during COVID is still the best route. I was at least gratified that my prior research still holds up. At least the Beltline is connected along the bottom, that does help.

    • We rode some of Carrollton Greenway on BRAG, it was nice.

watch for Kevin – he’s the TT guy

Last day of work before heading to FL tomorrow. Kevin is going to take my car to Midtown Tire today. Upon inspection, you can see that all the tires have like a dry rot around the edges. I guess 8 years is a good run for tires…

Paulie, I think becoming an inspector would be an excellent job for you. Seriously.

  5. Fun story from this morning: while talking to a vendor, I found out he lives in Glenwood Park, and, he and his wife grow at UFO. Small world…

  6. Steve says:

A rider missed his start time- maybe 10 seconds or a bit more. He finished second (so far) by 5 seconds. Someone will be major league pissed.

wordle in 3 – never thought that word would be it & it was -but I try the 1st thing that comes to mind many times

Wordle fail 🙁 I had 4 green letters for guesses 5 and 6 but just didn’t get the right word.

Since you don’t do Facebook you didn’t see my post about the food truck. That awesome food truck that was at the brewery is going to be a FREE food truck at a Harley dealer by me on Saturday. If I was in town I would ride up there and ogle some nice motorcycles and eat some free food.

Have not heard from the shop about my truck, I’m getting nervous that the longer it takes them to call me the more expensive the repair will be.

What Clemson brewery have you hit so far?

I’m glad that my birthday closes out the annual trifecta, the other two birthdays in advance of mine remind me to get my damn emissions done. I have two cars titled in my name, and I got both of them inspected and the stickers put on within about 45 minutes total this morning. I can now blissfully forget about this until next year’s trifecta rolls around.

I can’t believe people kowtow to having a warrior cop check their receipts every time they leave the Glenwood Kroger. I ignored the cop because I had no groceries in hand, but I did see him eyeballing me, probably thinking “hippy riff-raff motherfucker”. 😉 Anyway, the warrior cop is simply reason number 38,309 that I never shop at Kroger unless I have absolutely no other option. Or if I need to print my car tag stickers. That is my one exception to the rule.

    • Barb says:

our closest Kroger sometimes has a cop wandering around -but – they’ve never checked a receipt as far as I can tell.
Guess your Kroger has too much theft

      • Glenwood Kroger (née KroBar sine the bar is long gone) has so much theft that they removed all of the sales products from the entrance area.

        • Jenka says:

ERD Kroger also has a cop at the exit. That one I can’t avoid but I can usually get past the Murder Kroger cop.
