Though not newsworthy, yesterday was a decent day.

ITP-Reader Sal and I ground out a 42 mile ride on the Silver Comet, getting very wet and dirty along the way. This was the second outing on my new bike. I think I need one more good ride before I take it back to the shop for some fine tuning prior to taking up to Brevard at the end of the month.

After rinsing off the bike, rinsing out the bike kit, eating lunch, and showering, I took a much-needed nap.

Yesterday afternoon I met Chip and Sal at Schoolhouse. My buddy Chip has finally seen the light and joined the Mug Club. The lowlight of my day was spending about an hour in traffic driving home from Marietta.

Wordle: ???, my starter was GRAPE. I’ve used three guesses so far and I’m stumped.

Technically I’m first because Paulie owns the blog!

We went to Double Zero for dinner and spent longer than we had intended because the bartender was in over her head. I’m sure she’ll get the hang of it eventually. By the time we got home it was too late to watch a show. With no baseball or World Cup to watch we put it on Food Network and vegged out.

I have two extra lawn tickets for Styx and Chicago at Ameris this Friday night if anyone is interested. I scored much better seats via VetTix last night. I don’t know about Styx, but I now see Chicago every time I can. This is round 3.

Wordle sucked today, that’s all I’ll say about it. I almost said fuck it but pulled it off in 6.

Wordle in 5 and I call FOUL! And my 5 needed the NYT hint.

After my morning ride on the CX bike because the gravel bike had an issue with a valve stem, it was off to lunch in Tucker before meeting the popo at Stone Mountain. All set for this year as long as the popo are still part of the park- the memorial association (“owners” of the park) want to get rid of the cops. No telling what might replace them.

On to the pre-meeting where we were able to watch France lose. I thought they might take it all, but they had no offense.

Finally home about 9:30 after the full circle of the city. 150 miles. I was beat.

George and the puppies to the vet later and George desperately needs a bath, which will be an ordeal all by itself.

  4. Back from a WLF@UFO Mexican Bean Beetle killing spree, and a tour of Wee Little Farm with some cleanup. The more I look at the damage from the tree the more I think I need to wait until the potentially dangerous parts are professionally removed. I also need better work pants for the job.

haven’t wordled yet – Davey told me it was hard –

my trainee is at a doc appt – I’m so happy to get some work done without trying to explain

We’ve got tix for Styx & Chicago as well – David has better seats at a MUCH lower cost- I am jealous. thinking about Voodoo Brewing for before concert food & beers (that will be a much better cost) Should be there by 4 I’d guess – but I can update that on Friday.
(if anyone wants to join us)

    i cheated on wordle

  7. Jenka says:

I follow the Merriam Webster dictionary on Facebook (of course I do) and this morning they posted this: “FWIW, the first known use of the Wordle word today was in 1607.”

    Must’ve been difficult!

  8. At Midway Pub for probably the last time this World Cup. Not sure I will go out for the consolation game or the final.
