Well, Spring Tune Up is over and I had a great time. I rode pretty well getting in 53 miles on Friday, 47 miles on Saturday (including a beer and wings stop), and 0 miles yesterday. Unfortunately the weather turned sour on Sunday morning by becoming chilly and very windy, so I didn’t ride.
Though I feel it would have been a once in a lifetime opportunity, I was almost glad that I never got a ticket to see Anna Lapwood perform in Athens last night. After finally getting the car unloaded I caught up on a lot of lost sleep.
I find spending time outdoors in and around Wee Little Farm to be fascinating. In the past two weeks I have encountered lizards, a skink living amongst some bricks, and a solitary bee who has made its home between empty compost bags. Prior to the clearing of the backyard, creation of WLF, and subsequent lifestyle change, I probably would have never noticed any of these.
Wordle: six, my starter was ALTER
I could have been first.
I could have been a contender,

Wordle in 5 and I had to throw a lot against the wall to see what would stick.
Fingers crossed, I think I got the tractor back to its normal self. Replaced 2 fuel lines that had seen better days. I think I was sucking air into the pump, which would explain cutting out under load and basically being able to start right back up.
Sunday was racing in Lagrange. Sadly, very few racers in the undercard. One had only one entrant. Pro women and men were both good races. I heard next year they will try and add collegiates, which would help. Anniston apparently had full fields with them.
More mowing in my future today….

It appears that mulberry season has begun. Lust like my pecan tree, the branches of my mulberry tree are far too high up for me to access, so I just get to watch the squirrels and birds enjoy them.
Wordle in 3 and I didn’t even cheat 🙂 Starter word was straw
Spring Tune up was a great time, good riding and fun hanging out. Crazy how much the weather changed, I really wanted to ride on Sunday but not in that cold ass wind.
I signed up for the Roswell mayor’s ride next week and there is a street festival in down town Roswell afterwards, should be fun.
I also booked a campsite for wheelhopper in September in case you want to come out of retirement Paul 🙂
You rode well Bob, *applause*, except when you passed me and pipped me on the line for that sign. 😀 I too wanted to ride yesterday but that wind was a dealbreaker.
My buddy Hank will be in town this weekend for our annual GA Tech baseball game, so that rules me out for the Mayor’s Ride.
Unlikely, but you never know…
you don’t have to ride the Wheelhopper Paulie – you could just camp
I just booked site # 42 – right next to Bob
Sounds like you all had a good time at STU! Although, we haven’t heard from Barb yet…
I had a quiet weekend. Finn had a baseball game Saturday morning and then we went to lunch. Otherwise we were home taking the dog outside and nothing happening only to have her do her business in the house. *sigh* Yesterday I made an amazing pork loin in the crockpot with salt potatoes as a side.
Well, so much for a big early cucumber crop. Half of my plant have gone missing; it wasn’t the cold (I don’t think) since the holes are now empty.
Somebody wanted those plants more than you!
Jenka – some of us have too much work to do on Mondays – especially after being off on Friday.
STU was definitely a good time – weather was perfect until Sunday about 0430-0500 when the wind started whipping.
We unloaded & cleaned up the camper, did laundry etc. yesterday – then did nothing much the rest of the day.
I think Sally is coming over tonight to watch Survivor – we are 4 episodes behind – doubtful we will get thru all of them, but at least 2 will be watched.
