In the vein of the old quip “Q: How do you eat an elephant? A: One bite at a time.” I am reading the book “The Partly Cloudy Patriot” by Sarah Vowell. How do these two relate? I am reading this book one short story per day, and will eventually finish it. Up until last month I was reading a lot. However, the siren of warmer weather, some exercising, and a lot of screen time has stymied that.

Off to Spring Tune Up today hoping that my bicycle and body both respond accordingly.

Wordle: two, my starter was BURST

Wordle in 3 and I was really pleased as I only had the last vowel and not in the right place. And then YOU score a deuce. Nice.

Debbie managed to get to the camp last night about 7. I’ve moved a camera so she could surveil the puppies. I also move a camera in the man cave to watch for the possum. Last night’s visitor was a cat we’ve seen a little of, but not much.

In looking for my tractor hydraulic leak, I found something askew and pushed it back into place. I have the “repair manual” (in quotes as it’s a POS) and looked for a picture of where this piece was. Not found. I’ll drive it and see how it does.

Have fun at STU. Don’t drink too much beer.

HAHAHAH. As you know I took Monday off work, which threw off my week. Yesterday Barb said they were heading to Covington that day, and I was all, “Tuesday seems a little early.” But of course it was Wednesday.

The pupper is super cute and a little scared. We are giving her a lot of space and waiting until she warms up to us. She was very clingy with her foster lady, so she just needs time to get used to us. She was supposed to be 10 pounds but she chunked waaaaay up, so losing some weight will be the first order of business. I made the Mexican casserole but I used chicken this time and it was a big hit with both Kevin and Finn.

working from the camper in our friend’s driveway (its a big farmhouse type of place, so we are not in the way at all. Allan is inside the house being social.

Late word from the N FL campout- their morning ride took a wrong turn and became 3 hours and 11 miles and “Cyrus’s quarter ran out.” Debbie will be napping hard shortly.
