Happy Tax Day! (not really)
I unfortunately did not ride last night, not because of my tire, but rather because I tweaked my left knee in the afternoon and decided to protect it for Spring Tune Up. I was bummed because I was really looking forward to riding last night.
I wonder if TV will ever willingly stop advertising prescription drugs, or if the government (in whom I have no faith) will realize that prescription drug advertisements are just as dangerous as cigarette ads of yore. Mind you, I’m not a doctor, but merely listening to the possible side effects of these modern-day snake oils scares me.
Now that I’ve fixed the day/time settings on Wee Little Farm’s sprinkler system (user error), I have decided to gamble and plant a few more things out that probably shouldn’t be outside yet — cucumbers and okra. The transplants were germination trials, but since they sprouted I might as well give them an opportunity to provide me with an early crop.
Wordle: four, my starter was PRIME
Wordle in 5.
My “lunch date” was a no show as he got tied up at the doctors office. His health isn’t good and I’m trying to be supportive, or at least available. I did manage a stop at the greatest hardware store in the world (that I know of) and got a fuel filter for my leaf blower.
Games meeting was pretty much a snooze and I was back home by 9.
Puppies are now wiggling out from under the cardboard wall, so another couple wire ties will be added.

so Mr Vauguebooker – gonna tell us where the greatest hardware store in the world is?
I’m guessing it’s the ACE on Scott Boulevard. Or it could be the ACE in Va-Hi. Definitely an ACE.
No contest.
Handy Ace Hardware, Tucker.

Ding ding ding… HwC knows the truth. I think it’s also the largest hardware store I’ve ever been in.
That would have been my guess. Still the best after the fire and move many years ago now?
i guess i should go to that store someday……..
Even though it will never rain again, I should probably get out an mow my front lawn sometime soon.
weeds will grow – no matter what
I have some patches of grass, which is amazing since I’ve done pretty much everything except spray killer on it.
Allan got the camper all ready to go – we are now going to Conyers tonight – stay at a friend’s place, so I can more easily work in the morning & not have to sit in the truck for so long trying to pretend to work. We will see how early we get there tomorrow, I still think 11am is plenty early – but Allan disagrees.
His bike is fixed – I suggested a ride last night to be SURE it is all fixed, but we ended up doing other crap.
So you will be at the Sunflower Farm at daybreak? 😀
I am shooting for 10:30-11:00, so you, Allan, and Sal will probably be there and set up by the time I arrive. I might take my bike out for a short ride tomorrow in order to ensure it’s ready for the weekend.
I say 11am, but will anyone listen to me?
The first line of the NYT morning headline newsletter says: “Good morning. It’s tax day. I wish you many happy returns.”
A year and four months after our dog Ralph passed away we are ready for a new pupper. We put in an application with a rescue and she is coming to our house after work today so we can meet the dog. I am excited and nervous.
what kind of rescue? just a mutt? how big?
This IS exciting!! Life is much better with dogs.
You are rich, buy all of Steve’s & Debbie’s puppies! 😀
Good luck finding a compatible companion.
Life IS much better with dogs, I just get so heartbroken when they pass. This rescue is called Tiny Paws Atlanta and the dog in question is like some sort of chihuahua mix/mutt. Our last dog we adopted from Angels Among Us rescue which was also really good.
