Easter weekend is upon us, and although I want to ride on Sunday as part of my annual traditions, Wee Little Farm needs rains. This morning I am running the parts of the sprinkler setup which is functional.

    First!

    I have the day off because it’s Good Friday, one of the few perks of working at the school of theology. We will send the boy off to school and head up to the cabin. It’s going to feel like a new house with the new roof and the interior and exterior painted and both decks restained! Also this afternoon the security company will be installing long overdue cameras.

    Wordle in 5 and shoulda been 4.

    Got out for 17 yesterday and damn it seemed hot. Going down a usual gravel road, I saw the first hole and managed to get around but the larger one just past almost did me in. I managed to bunny hop it, but it took everything I had. Easily 6 inches deep. I’ll be more careful.

    Picked up some ground cover plants to replace the very effective poison ivy! Have to get them in the ground before the rains come.

    wordle in 3 – I really thought I’d get it on 2, but no such luck.

    Nothing too exciting for Allan’s birthday – Red Eyed Mule for lunch, then Revolving Sushi for dinner.

    Maybe today will be more interesting.
    He still hasn’t heard from the bike shop, so not sure what’s going on with his road bike.

    My trip to Lowe’s was predicated by the fact that there was some soil on sale, $2/bag. I’ve been hilling my potatoes using this brand of soil, so I wanted to buy more.

    Yesterday I found a spot on the roof where one of the gutter guards is sitting high, lifting the edge of a shingle. I jump onto the roof, with the wrongs tools, yesterday but couldn’t get if fixed in the time I had. I should do this today, but may or may not. If not today, I will get it done tomorrow or Monday, depending on the weather.

    Kroger – I guess we haven’t shopped in a while – got over 500 points with the 4X points this weekend.
    Trying to figure out what all to bring food wise Sunday – & Sarah wants to do a beer exchange too!

      I didn’t need much, so I only got 120 points today. Still don’t know what I am bringing Sunday, and am not too keen on going out to buy beer just to exchange it with someone else so I may not.

    Cabin looks great! The interior paint refresh really makes it look bright and clean. Can’t tell that the deck is restained because it’s green with pollen, hah! Security company installed the cameras and now we are watching the Red Sox game on the iPad and snacking and drinking. Happy Friday!
