I don’t get to say this very often, but I’m a winner! On Sunday I won the raffle for the gift bag put together by Mushroom Mountain! I forget the retail value of all of the things that I won, but if I had to guess, it’s somewhere around $200. I won with one of the five tickets for which I paid $20. Woot!

Because I spent a lot of time driving home I didn’t make a recipe from a cookbook last night. I did watch a movie, however; I watched Singles.

Wake up blog, we’re having puppies! Debbie woke me about 0415 to head to the vet, but just before leaving, contestant number 1 arrived and we relaxed. 0600 and 2 are on the ground with 4 to go.

The new truck is home. Debbie was chatting with the mom of the young man who bought the old Mazda and for $50 and a tank of gas , he delivered me to D-ville for a pickup. Literally.

    Wordle in 6.

not sure what the Uber cost would be – but seems like a decent price to get to Douglasville.

      • Steve says:

Kinda what we figured. If they had had a way to load a scooter into the bed, it would have been a slam dunk, but alas…

  2. I’m all dressed up with nowhere to go since I was just informed that my volunteer outing at Concrete Jungle has been canceled (postponed to June, so essentially canceled).

Going for a walk to get some exercise.

Talking to roofer today to get next step going. It’s March 10, my insurance runs out on March 31, so this shit has to happen fast so I can start insurance with a new company who also requires a new roof.

  3. Steve says:

After 0900 and still just the 4. Fig seems comfortable, so maybe thefactory is closed.

    • Barb says:

do you have the puppies pre-sold?

      • Steve says:

Serious interest, but no cash has changed hands. I think we’re keeping a female and selling the rest. With the forecast of 6, that sounded like a great ROI. With 4, not so much.

  4. Barb says:

I think Allergy season has hot me – drainage & a sore throat – trying to get enough allergy meds in me that I start feeling better.
(or – maybe I am getting sick – who knows)

nothing interesting going on over here

    • Jenka says:

Yeah, my eyes are wicked leaky and I’m assuming it’s the pollen. Lots of flowering trees out there.

  5. Barb says:

Bob- how’s the gout flare up?
did the doc say how long it takes for it to go away?

    • Steve says:

Allopurinol is your friend when it comes to gout. Been on it for years now and never had a recurrence.

    • Bob says:

So far so good, I’m full of steroids and anti inflammatory meds. Last night I was able to move my big toe a little without excruciating pain and this morning the swelling is way down. I’m almost walking normal now. I think by tomorrow the pain level will be down to just annoyance level and not stop me from doing anything. Good thing too since tomorrow is bowling night 🙂
Now I just need to get the rest of the house healthy, I think I gave the crud to Laura and Travis. We (they) may be suffering through the next 2 weeks but once that is done it’s game on.

  6. Jenka says:

    Yay, PUPPIES!

Sushi as usual and then we finished the last two episodes of Nobody Wants This. Now we wait for the next season, whenever that is.

I loved the movie Singles, and I really loved the soundtrack. I wore that CD out.

  7. With so many cats and dogs in shelters I have issues with breeding, but I’m sure it’s all aboveboard and that I’m in the minority.

Hope your pups go to nice people.

  8. Barb says:

nail (or something) in my tire- that’s why the Low Tire pressure light came on
