I have found something that I can consistently lose — concert earplugs. I know that I own two pair now, and can find neither. I even looked in the place in which I found my first pair a month after purchasing my second pair, with no luck.

I used yesterday’s day of rain as an excuse to stay indoors and do some much needed cleaning, and organizing. I’ve also started making a pile of things which will be evicted from the ITP Estate soon.

I’m taking a break from cooking a meal from a cookbook today. Here are the recipes I’ve cooked so far this year:

“Beefy Noodle Skillet” from “Ramen Noodle Recipes”
“Hoisin-Glazed Baby Back Ribs” from “Milk Street Instant Pot” by Christopher Kimball
“Chicken and Smoked Sausage Gumbo” from “Louisiana Real & Rustic” by Emeril Lagasse
“Drunken Noodles with Chicken” from “The Complete Cooking for Two” by America’s Test Kitchen
“Ham and Bean Soup” from “‘I Love My Instant Pot’ Affordable Meals” by Aileen Clark
“Crisp-Crusted, Feather Light-Raised Waffles” from “CookWise” by Shirley O. Corriher
“Cheesy Italian Noodle Bake” from “Ramen Noodle Recipes”
“Basic Yeast Bread” from “Irish Food & Cooking” by Bidet White Lennon & Georgina Campbell
“Cajun Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya” from “The Essential Instant Pot Cookbook” by Coco Morante
“Red Beans and Rice” from “Louisiana Real & Rustic” by Emeril Lagasse

Wordle: three, my starter was FAIRY. The angriest three I might ever score.

S is the new C: as of yesterday, five of this month’s fifteen Wordle solution have started with an S. Whoever selects the solutions has no fucking imagination.

Wordle in 4. A deuce yesterday.

We were up this morning at 0400 to go pick up our NEW HORSE! The shipper was heading to Ocala with a load and it’s an easy stop off 75 near Griffin. As yet named (Jockey Club name “Strength From Above”) was a trotter/pacer, so an off track rescue. 6 year old standard bred. Seems sweet- went from one trailer to the other with no fuss.

Saturday met the gravel club for Dirty Sheets. I guess I missed the part that said this was a no drop ride, as we stopped 7 times in 21 miles, Almost 45 minutes total, according to my computer. Ugh.

Sunday I attempted to repair the leaking commode in the LQ. I figured out the leak drained the fresh water tank, so I haven’t been able to test yet. I’ll do that after I wake up, as now it’s time to go back to bed.

  2. Back from a shortened errand run because I was interrupted as I poured the last of my morning coffee, and as I drove could not remember whether or not I’d turned off or unplugged the coffee maker.

I’m back, and of course I did, but feel better. I have plenty of outdoor choring to do today, so I’m about to get on it.

    busy enough weekend.
Saturday helped a friend build a metal shelving unit for her garage – it wasn’t hard, but needed a 2nd set of hands – so Allan made it happen.
Went to a belated birthday party Saturday night in East Cobb – Enema has become a road rider – I was trying to talk Katherine into them coming out to STU (I doubt that would happen)

Sunday skipped Wheelhopper – I could not convince myself I wanted to drink in the rain.

  4. Stunning day outside and I’m on deadlines, so I’m working myself hard today as if I were still young.
