I’m working my way through a rewatch of “Get Back” the Beatles documentary. I have a few more series to get through on Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ before I cancel them at the beginning of February. Sadly this also means I will lose the Bundesliga (German soccer) but it will be nice to reclaim $25/month.
Yesterday afternoon I cooked a pot of collard greens, with guidance from a video I saw on YouTube. Last night I started perusing the physical cookbooks in my possession, and have found three which address this southern staple; I sense an ongoing project here, especially if I can harvest them from WLF.
Today’s Strands theme all but steals the title of my longest running art project “Home Was Where The Hearth Is”!

A POOR showing by Alabama against Indiana. I’m sure the ‘Bama coach will be packing his bags today. I knew Ol Miss was going to be a problem for Georgia, but at least UGA made it a good game.
My legs are still toast from yesterday’s ride.
Leaving Sunday to drive to Huntington, WV to look at an off track horse. Can’t beat the price ($1k) and should be a good “husband horse” and backup for Tanner.

I talked her out of a more expensive horse and now it’s 2 cheaper ones. I think the local horse is still an option, so no road trip.
Busy enough day yesterday away from the computer.
Got out to East Palisades (Chattahoochee park) for a hike. Its not a super long hiking park, but there are a few hills since it is next to the river. A friend had never been out to the bamboo forest. Beautiful day to be outside.
Skipped the Slutterhead hash since I already had the hike planned.
My friend Wendy that had been doing the full nomad life in her camper van was in town, I went to visit with her. She’s decided to get a small apartment out in the Portland, OR area for a little while, while she is selling her old van & getting a new camper van. After a year or 2 on the road, she has figured out some design changes that will make her nomad life more comfortable.
Back to work today……….

It was a beautiful day to be outside. Though I did a very productive walk to Kroger and back, I think I missed a golden opportunity to work in WLF. Dinner last night was hour and sour soup, and some impromptu collard greens.
That seems to be the trajectory of the constantly-moving lifestylers.
We talked about all the people we know that have health issues, and the time is now before we are too old to do it. I wish Allan didn’t have 5 more years, I’m ready to be retired now.
We really have to do the things we want now, because tomorrow might be tougher & tougher physically.
Not might be tougher, will be tougher. We’ve witnessed it happen to our parents, it’s coming for us next!
Because I didn’t want to deal with return traffic today, which may or may not be lighter than a “normal” Friday, I scrapped an idea of driving g to Cobb county. Why would I go there? Stop being so nosy! 🙂 Also, I have an Amazon delivery arriving today, or so they say, and I’d like to be at home to receive it.
Barb, and chance of meeting for lunch up your way next Tuesday? I have business to tend to up there that day.
Speaking of Amazon! I saw them roll into the space between the house and the shop and sit there a few minutes. Then I saw they had left and went to look for the package. Not the back steps or the deck steps. Not in the carport or on the front steps. Not around the shop doors. Came back in and consulted the picture- INSIDE the horse trailer! I was appalled! And they couldn’t figure out how to close the door (a very slight trick). That got the driver a nasty-gram.

If you aspire to seek work as an “iOS Developer”, you’d best be getting very good at using “ClaudeCode” (and CharCPT, et al) to literally write your iOS (Swift) code for you. Completely.
Programmers today function by using ClaudeCode (at al) to write (and debug, tweak) code. Completely.
I understand many are scanning the Apple APP Store for new apps, then using Claude Code to “clone” them. Then loading them to the Apple APP store at say $.99, and reaping the profits.
Even if you aspire to lay code firsthand, I’m guessing it will be a big part of any prospective employee interview cycle.
Give it a try. Create a few apps you’ve been thinking of writing. Gardening, music, exercise, cycling, etc, and get back to us.

I like it. I thought about using AI when I had Excel questions, but then I knew I could reach out to David if I really got stuck. And maybe that should be David’s next book- “ Excel and AI for dummies!”
