Well, my weather apps certainly failed me this weekend. Neither of the two apps I consulted mentioned rain in Rutledge, especially the downpours which occurred overnight on Saturday and Sunday. Needless to say, I was inappropriately prepared for this. Thankfully my tent was up to the task, so nothing got wet, but there was plenty of mud with which to be dealt. I managed to hang dry the tent’s rain fly upon getting home yesterday, bringing it inside again so that it wouldn’t freeze this morning.

Overall the weekend was fun. We all had a lot of laughs, swapped some old stories, and drank a lot of beer.

Wordle: six, my starter was ENTRY. My third consecutive six because I keep getting into Wordle Battles (having multiple options but choosing the wrong ones) and playing on Hard Mode.

  2. It will be interesting to see what sort of carnage remains in WLF after this brutally cold weather.

After the rough week last week my boss let me go at 2:30 on Friday, so I picked up Kevin and we went to Manuel’s for some light day drinking. Then we Lyfted to Nakato for dinner. They did a $2.5 million renovation and, while it does look a little different, it’s mostly in furnishings, the layout is the same. At least it’s prettier. Saturday Kevin took Finn off to do errands, lunch, and some anime movie while I stayed home. Yesterday was football. The only time I left the house after dinner on Friday was for Finn’s swim lesson yesterday morning. Glorious.

Looks like Arthur Blank is bringing a NWSL team to Atlanta – that’s exciting!

  4. Baking a loaf of bread this morning, and heating part of the house in the process. I also cooked a pound of bacon as I heated the oven for bread baking, and ate a bacon sandwich for breakfast.

    Wordle in 4.

I had forgotten you went camping this weekend. It didn’t look like the city got much but anything on the south side did- I think a total of a half inch.

Friday evening was an equine seminar with catered dinner and door prizes. Learned all about trace minerals in feed (and it was interesting).

Saturday was 2 runs to the dump and an attempt at breakfast. The WH we chose was not on our regular list and we left after standing for 10 minutes and no one attempting to clear tables.

Sunday I made breakfast, then puttered around- the tractor battery was dead, the horses broke into the feed area (again) (coulda been my fault this time).

You missed some good football this weekend on Saturday.

  6. Struggling with my health today. Stuffy nose followed by sneezing and drainage. Don’t know if it’s from camping, weather change, or the ITP Estate. It could be from a combination of all the above, I assume.

  7. STOP THE PRESSES!
I have just been corrected because I used the word “stymied” incorrectly! Mark the date, someone made an error in the comments of a YouTube video.
