Shrinkflation is at it again, this time with 8 O’clock Coffee. The last bag I purchased is now down to 11 ounces.
I tried watching the first episode of “The Paper”, and hated it. If you haven’t heard, “The Paper” is the reboot of “The Office”, in which the film crew from “The Office” tracks down the remnants of Dunder Mifflin at a paper company. It appears that Oscar will be the only returning regular character.
Wordle: three, my starter was SLIDE
Wordle in 3 with a whiff as a starter.
Games meeting was crowded! Must be getting close to time. Had I not told someone I would meet them to pick up a table I had left at the party, I would have phoned it in.
Typically, Waze takes me home down the west side, but last night it was the east side. I don’t know what was going on on 85 north, but is must have been a CF north of Spaghetti Junction. 285 backed up in both directions waiting to get on. U.L.G.Y.
Other than that, I got nothing.

I’m not sure why I was so naive to believe that some fucking critter wouldn’t eat the one, nice, green tomato that was hidden among the okra. This morning I found that tomato on the ground and half eaten.
the critters actually left a few tomatoes for us – I finally picked some.
I will never stop complaining about the amount of tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant they’ve eaten, but truth be told I’ve had plenty this year.
I always remind myself that when I move things like trays on the ground there will be a chance to uncover a snake, thankfully small snake. Today I uncovered three.
This caused me to change my plan, to allow them to migrate somewhere else on their terms.
I would have screamed – dropped whatever in my hands & not gone to that area again any time soon
This is why you should never leave the house.
Haha, they were small and harmless. Hell, they didn’t even move when I uncovered them.
We went to Alici in the midtown plaza where Trader Joe’s is. It’s Italian food with a focus on seafood. We’ve been there before but not for a few months. I had linguine with clams and OMG the sauce was so good I wanted to bathe in it. Then another episode of the Bear because the Sox weren’t on until 10:00. Today the Sox play at 3:30, and I definitely will not at all in any way shape or form be watching it at work. Not at all.
I’m slowly going thru the stuff I brought back from Iowa –
Why in the hell would you get a 12 person china set for wedding gifts?
12 ? did we ever have a dinner party for that many people? NOPE!!!
And – there is 14 coffee cups & saucers – so I have 2 extra that don’t fit int he nice little cases. I think I may just take those to goodwill or whereever.
Also boiled a dozen ears of corn last night – most of them are the kernels being cut off the cob & frozen.
I liked The Office, but never cared that much either way for it- so not sure if The Paper will interest me.
I loooooved The Office, so I will give The Paper a shot.
I too loved The Office, both British and American, but couldn’t get through the first episode of The Paper. I will be interested to hear your take.
Anyone else having trouble accessing the blog.
Jenka, like you I certainly did not watch today’s stage of the Vuelta that makes me want to rent a scooter in Spain and ride in the mountains.
Maybe I never gave “The Office” a chance, but there’s a certain style of comedy that just doesn’t strike me as funny- see also Parks and Rec.
Yep, and this time it’s not my site but rather my host.
Oh you must not have seen the wild fire damage either then, right? 😉
I loved Parks and Recreation too, which is why I was certain The Paper right down my alley.
There were parts that looked a little well done, now that you mention it. But the sound was off while I “worked” so wasn’t sure.
Nope, definitely not at all watching sportsing at work.
I also loved Parks and Rec, it’s one of my top favorite sitcoms of all time, along with 30 Rock and New Girl.
