I’m calling it, the Atlanta United are not a good soccer club.

Hope everyone’s Easter weekend was fun. If not for some medical issues, mine was. Inexplicably, only ITP-Reader Sal and I wound up riding from Rambo Rd to Rockmart, and back yesterday.

Today I’m hoping to get more plants in the ground ahead of a predicted damp week. I’m extremely disappointed in myself, because 2025 was supposed to be the year I finally keep decent records about what I’ve planted. Though I had a note identifying eighteen tomato plants, six different groups of three, I discovered yesterday that deleted the information from that note without marking the rows in the tray. Dangen!

As I poked around WLF yesterday I really wished that I had more space. I dream of having land, a big greenhouse in which I could grow year round, and clear sky to get more than six hours of sunlight for my plants.

I’ve mentioned this before, but I absolutely love the tv series Ludwig (streaming on BritBox). Unfortunately, I’ve run out of episodes from season one, and will have to wait for a while for season two to stream on BritBox given that it first did so on this service six months ago after it aired in Britain.

More things for 2025, that I forgot about yesterday:
– learn to make an awesome pimiento cheese
– succeed making a sourdough starter, and from it, great loaves of sourdough bread

I have a lot of plants that are unhappy to remain indoors. I don’t like the idea of transplanting sickly tomato and pepper plants, but that’s what I am doing today. Time will tell if this was a mistake. I may start new seeds today, just in case I have tremendous plant failure.

The other day I mentioned new endeavors. This year, as I turn sixty, I will be trying my hand at fermenting (sauerkraut and pickles), pressure canning (hopefully tomato sauce), and growing mushrooms in buckets.

Well, I’m not half blind but I still have the chalazion. Apparently in eight years some procedures have changed, and I have to attempt shrinking it using a $25 prescription ointment and returning in a few weeks to see if it needs to be drained. This whole rigmarole will probably wind up costing me $1000.

I don’t know if I am an angry, old man, or, if I am an old, angry man.

Yesterday I transplanted twelve tomato plants; I expect them all to die.

If I am not half blind by day’s end, I am hoping that my latest chalazion gets removed today, I will be undertaking new endeavors tomorrow.

With the heavy rain that came through last night I was cursing myself for not getting up onto the roof yesterday and blowing off all of the crap that trees have dropped recently. As I type this I have no idea how WLF survived the heavy downpour.

Not much happened again, mainly did little things around WLF. Today I have a bunch of errands to run.

Donald Trump has finally figured out how to run the country like one of his businesses… into the ground.

While riding during Spring Tune Up I was going to look for potential sites with a couple of farmable acres for “Final Chapters Estate” aka “Wee Little Homestead”. East Georgia is just as “red” as South Carolina, and cheaper than Western North Carolina. And because I can’t seem to stop getting information about a certain couple of hashers for whom I certainly have no interest, it may be time for me to get the fuck out of Dodge. Of course the stock market’s recent nose dive, in addition to the fact that I am old, means that it’s probably not going to happen.
