Imagine my dismay last night when Duolingo showed me a screen that said “Here’s 32 gems!”. Seriously? A language learning app that can’t get simple subject/verb agreement correct?

Fourteen years ago today was a beautiful Sunday in Atlanta and I went out for a bike ride that ended with me going over the hood of a car and being taken to a hospital in an ambulance.

Yesterday’s 25-mile bike ride on a similarly beautiful day was far less tragic, thankfully.

Took my mountain bike out for a short ride yesterday afternoon. I would have gone longer than the eight miles that I rode, except I left my water bottle behind and the two public fountains that I attempted to use were turned off.
