Have you ever seen something which makes you feel attentive? Remember a few weeks ago when I asked about the seemingly frequent amount of wind? Yesterday I saw this on Accuweather.com:

March is typically the windiest spring month for most of the nation but wind gusts and wind advisories broke records over a wide area in 2025.

If not for the fact that I ate far too much for dinner last night (the sausage, lentil, and WLF kale dish I mentioned yesterday) it would have been a very good evening. The temperature dropped, allowing me to open a door and windows as I made my first ever batch of English Muffins. No fooling!
I’ll give my muffin effort a “C”, although I might get a higher grade since I used the excess dough, I made eight large muffins, to make a small loaf of bread.

At this point in my life I admit that I don’t enjoy gatherings at which I am not sure I will know anyone. My introverted nature hates expending the energy to engage in small talk. Since none of the friends with whom I’ve volunteered for Trees Atlanta were going to attend Saturday night’s potluck, I bailed.
Yesterday I watched another good mini documentary about The Barkley, this one on YouTube — The Barkley Strikes Back: 2025’s Return to Form.
Tonight I intend to harvest some kale and make a sausage, lentil, and kale recipe that I got from the Washington Post when I used to be a subscriber (hence why I have no linked to it here).

I had big plans for my day of choring yesterday. The linchpin of my day was to meet up with a gang of old coworkers, two of which I started working with in 1996, for lunch in Tucker at Matthew’s Cafeteria. In addition to lunch I did knock out stops at Goodwill, and Lowe’s. I would have visited one of downtown Tucker’s breweries — Blue Tarp, or High Card — except that both closed for business recently. I considered going to IKEA, but nixed that since I was one the wrong side of town.

Decent weekend, both fun and somewhat productive.

I don’t know which tree it was, but one or more in my neighborhood had a bumper crop of seeds this year. For the past handful of days I have been plucking tiny saplings from WLF’s garden beds constantly. Yesterday I also discovered that I had erroneously transplanted a tree sapling which had snuck its way amongst a group of seeds I planted and have been keeping alive indoors.
