Another BRAG is in the books. With the exception of my bicycle frame breaking it was an amazing week. Thanks again to ITP-Reader Steve, as well as all of my other friends who helped me complete the task. After almost nodding off a couple of times on the drive home I spent the remainder of Saturday catching up on sleep.
As an added bonus, our very own ITP-Reader Bob was interviewed by Fox 5 when we were in Trilith.
In the process of searching for the receipt for my bike, which I may have tossed last year since I see the folder labeled “Bike Wreck” is empty, I found the receipts for the other two bicycles I have purchased while living in Atlanta. Dangen!
Wee Little Farm is suffering. Most things are not growing, except for the zucchini which were HUGE by the time I picked them yesterday. I also picked three nice cucumbers, four potatoes from one grow bag, as well as a handful of rattlesnake beans. This may be a very lean year if things don’t start to grow soon.
I decided to take a walk to Urban Farm Ormewood yesterday and fortunately ran into someone who is responsible for managing it. I identified my 4’x8′ raised bed, and confirmed that I could start planting. Of course, it’s supposed to rain every day this week…
Wordle: four, my starter was ASTER
Once again Wee Little Farm did not receive its fair share of the rain which passed through. I’m getting a little perturbed about this. Just checked, rain gauge caught about a quarter of an inch.
Wordle in 6 and not without a hint.
For some strange reason, this website will not load from my iPad.
Currently relaxing at a Hampton Inn in Bennington, VT. A short day to the rally means I can lollygag, and who doesnt like lollygagging?
Nice riding, some rain, a lot of time in PA I was along the state bicycle route. Pack your climbing gears if you ever want to ride it. A real diner for breakfast yesterday with an unbelievable plate of biscuits and sausage gravy. I might have hurt myself.
Yesterday, the Corning glass museum was a stop. Lots of interesting art, good demonstrations and some current day tech. A good stop.
Will continue the scenic route north to be at camp by lunch.

Corning is very near where I lived for 12 years in Ithaca, NY! My old stomping grounds! That diner pic on FB yesterday was classic.
We successfully made the 5 hour round trip to drop Finn at sleep-away camp at Camp Big Heart yesterday. It’s located at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley, GA. He should have a great time. On the way back we saw that there was a blockage on 75 north that caused massive delays, but the car stoppage happened EXACTLY at the entrance to the express lane, so we were able to bypass the entire thing! We would have been stuck in that for easily an hour, probably longer. I was very surprised that more people didn’t use the express lane.
Otherwise we did very little this weekend but watch baseball.
Watched the video of Bob’s interview. That reporter looks like a meth head.
good weekend –
went to dinner in Roswell & finally made it inside Rock n Taco – but – as we are not late night people, the band started & we only got to hear a few songs before we left.
Saturday a long lost parrothead friend from the 90s was in town. We went for a hike at Sope Creek, then met some other friends she knew when she lived here at the Marietta Square. She just retired from working for the State Dept last year, and now lives in a Carolina beach town.
Sunday – she left to head back home & Allan & went Mtn biking. It was not my day – I had 3 crashes – nothing major, but I do have a few bruises. I really need to ride that bike more often, so I don’t feel like such a beginner. I made rookie mistakes.
Another warm and humid day without real precipitation in WLF. #sadpaulie
What a great week! No big drama that wasn’t quickly resolved. It’s funny that your drama got overshadowed by other issues. Kudos to Steve for driving out with a spare bike for you too!
I was a little worried with such a huge team this year but it all worked out pretty well. I was a little annoyed with the constant questions about what we were doing next (there WILL be a white board next year). I’m also extremely proud of my nephews for completing the week. Josh has only started riding a few months ago. I’m also glad that my news interview didn’t make me look like an idiot 🙂
Your interview was great! And Christ, BRAG is about 1,197 to 1,199 more people than I care to ride alongside, so that is clearly not my space. I had no idea it was that big. Kudos to those that celebrate BRAG, though.
Over twenty of those were us… Hahaha. So many people leave early that it never feels as if that many people are riding.
The fact that Bob got stung by a bee, Jason had a flat, and Chad got hit by a car, all on the same day that my frame broke and I had to SAG to the end (after getting voicemail for the phone number to call for help), irked me. However in hindsight it was funny.
Whiteboard will help, but won’t fix ignorance. Hehe
It was funny in real time too 🙂 You handled it like a champ though.
At least with the whiteboard I can just point and tell them to go read.
I thought your interview was great. I’d want to party with you!
Debbie, call the realtor, we’re moving to Vermont! Jesus, what great riding and beautiful country!
Enjoy the winter! 🙂
It’s Apple’s WWDC Keynote day. This used to be a huge part of my life, now I watch out of curiosity. They just said that they will introduce an “all new” Siri, called “Siri AI”, to which my response was “one that works?”. They showed using it with the World Cup, but that will be long concluded by the time iOS 27 is released in October.
Chad got hit by a car – I need to hear more about that…………
BTW = pouring here – is it raining ITP Paulie?
Spitting at best
