Fun, and very busy day yesterday — laundry, multiple Goodwills, haircut, beans for seeds purchased at Nam Dae Mun, lunch at 1911 Biscuit & Burgers, and Schoolhouse for BOGO beers — all before fighting traffic home to eat leftover ribs and a cobb of corn for dinner.

I checked WLF’s rain gauge upon returning home, 1″ is all I received. The water bucket collecting HVAC condensation was overflowing, however.

Today I am going to clean out one of the lettuce beds and fill it with San Marzano tomato plants. The lettuce is too large to be eaten, the leaves are too tough now, and are going to seed. I still have another half bed of lettuce which I will let go to seed to see what happens.

I will also be harvesting some zucchini today! With the rain the zucchini are starting to swell and I need to eat some of it before BRAG since they will be the size of baseball bats when I return.

Wordle: four, my starter was SOUPY

First! And it’s after 9:00, where is everyone?

As I have complained about before, Google bought the Fitbit brand a couple of years ago and they were barely supporting the app. Over the weekend they did away with the Fitbit app completely and are making us use Google Health app. I don’t really care which app I use so long as it tracks what I want it to track, which it does.

Big deadline at COB today, I will be busy.

Wordle in 6 with a clue from NYT. I had the word, but wanted to verify.

More concrete cutting yesterday. I think I recovered from an mis-measured cut, but there may have to be some correction.

An old school moment at the Giro- a rider pulls over and greets family and has his pockets stuffed with supplies. Quick hugs and pushed back into the race. Very nice.

Watching the weather, as I need to go for a ride. The Giro is heading into some seriously dark skies. Commentators are saying the riders would like to get cooled off- be careful what you wish for.

  3. Inside from WLF, I’m dirty and sweaty. I harvested two nice zucchini. I planted nine San Marzano tomato plants which were in their small pots for far too long, so who knows how they will fare. I also moved almost all of my indoor plant starts outdoors to relish in the humidity and heat, and see if Mother Nature can get them to start growing since whatever I have been doing has failed.

After a shower and lunch I will dedicate the afternoon to getting completely packed for BRAG.

    • Showered, relaxing (I know, I know), and trying to decide how much money I want to spend around my trip south to learn sausage making in August.

Sadly the Montgomery Biscuits are on a road trip on the days surrounding my trip.

We do need to get down for a game. I’m staying next to where the Dayton club plays, but they will be on a road trip when I’m there.

        • They are also away when we finish in Columbus a week from Saturday. I think I might make a day-of, mid-week decision when they have a home game and finally do it!

This is why everyone should always consult the baseball schedule before making travel plans. 🙂

          • While I don’t disagree, the two events for which I’m wishing the Biscuits were playing at home, are out of my control. Fortunately, since my schedule is incredibly open, I should be able to to make a roadtrip at will. Shame on me for not having done so already…
