Wee Little Farm has the cutest little bunny rabbit, who I’d like to evict as soon as possible. As I am not into killing, I will try to fend it off and dissuade it from making WLF its personal buffet.
While I don’t think that I will be selected, I have put my name on the waitlist for a growing plot at Red’s Farm. I would love to have another growing space, even though it’s one which admittedly bring a new set of challenges with it.

The rain didn’t bless WLF the way it did elsewhere. My rain gauge only caught 0.75”, WLF and its rain barrels need more than that. I also had buckets all over the place, hoping to catch gallons of water for my barrels.

Is there a lot of interest in plots at Red’s farm? When he was alive he could barely keep it afloat by offering plots to people.
Yeah, it basically rained normally for a few hours and now the sun is out.
On Sunday I made a roast chicken so last night I picked off the rest of the meat and made up a recipe that was a cross between the Italian skillet I make often and a soup. Started with sauteing a mirepoix in oil and then added chicken stock, the chicken, and rice, and let that cook until the rice was done. Very tasty!
I also picked up my first CSA box of the summer. Bok choy, butter lettuce, another type of lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, green onions, and something else I’m forgetting. I used the broccoli and green onions in the dinner (I call them scallions).
Swiss chard. And cucumbers! Great box o’ veggies.

It’s now an official CoA park, so there is a lot more interest. I talked to a woman working her plot and she told me that the waitlist is long. (I didn’t mention that I was on it…)
I think that’s great!
Not great that you’re on a long waiting list, but great that it’s an official park and that there is lively interest in it.
If I get a plot that is a bonus, so it’s no big loss if I don’t.

2.5 inches here. There was a bit of thunder last night and the power blinked off once, but otherwise a good rain.
I took drugs last night and was mostly able to sleep. Felt like crap all day yesterday and only got up when necessary. Got my TV in the shop running on the new ROKU stick- not to get all the accounts activated on it. The Giro starts Saturday and want to putter in the shop and have in on in the background.

Back from Trees Atlanta. Though we got wet, we did some amazing work at the nursery! I brought a change of clothes, but in the end decided to return home for lunch in order to save money,
