Rain arrived, enough to cancel the Easter bike ride, but not really enough to really benefit Wee Little Farm. In lieu of the ride we simply met on Barb’s deck for lunch. I provided some homemade pimento cheese, and focaccia. We also had quiche, ham and cheese sliders, candied bacon, deviled eggs, pigs in blankets, and fresh fruit. It was quite the spread.

On Saturday I had met my buddy Chip at Black Bear Tavern for beers and a hamburger, so I wasn’t really in the boozing mood yesterday. If it all comes through I will get 20% of my Black Bear bill back from Seated, and 13% back from Upside.

With the rain I learned that the leak that rotted some of the fascia on the ITP Estate was not caused by a roof problem, which means that it’s a gutter problem. I will have to investigate.

    TL:DR:
AI has *already* come for us. We are all doomed…..

last time I tried to double dip with Seated – they told me they don’t pay out when another site pays. But – since I didn’t know, they gave me a part of the money I thought I was owed. So – send a message in a couple days – you should get something.

    • Interesting. I will try to read their Terms and Conditions to see if this is identified, which is bullshit if it is, since they are getting the same data they would have otherwise.

Wordle in 4 and coulda been 3.

With 30+ for lunch yesterday, there was much pressure washing and other prep work on Saturday. The rain didn’t really affect the gathering as we were under the cover of the carport and eggs can be gathered under umbrellas. A total of a half inch and most of that seemed to come in one burst at the end.

Everyone enjoyed visiting and meeting horses and puppies. With the leftover ham, I will attempt to make one of my mothers’ specialties- ham salad.

A very happy anniversary to the Groves!

And yesterday’s cycling excitement was a level RR crossing that was closing as the field came through. Some got across but were stopped. All got restarted, but the break gained 2 minutes. Didn’t matter in the end, as it happened very early (one of the reasons the train schedule wasn’t adjusted).

channeling Steve – Wordle in 4 and Shoulda been 3.

    Weekend was busy enough –
Calling out Bob for NOT calling us to join him for a beer at Schoolhouse. Now – I may have needed to be working, but Allan was here doing nothing. (just guilt tripping him)

Saturday we decided to cook a roast – hadn’t done that is a while, it was tasty.

Sunday brunch was good – and it really didn’t rain that much (at my house) but I like to think it was pouring on the SCT so its good we didn’t ride.

    • Yeah, no Schoolhouse beacon, no longer interested in the Easter Ride?, and last night I found out there will be no breakfast sandwiches at STU. I don’t know who you are anymore, ITP-Reader Bob! 😛

To be fair, I understand why sandwich making has become more work than it should be, so it’s understandable that he’s decided to give it up.

  6. Need to get my ass in gear and do some work in Wee Little Farm.

  7. I knew the battery in my old Apple Watch was getting weak, but I put it on a little more than three hours ago, and the battery has already drained.

Is it the first Monday of the month? It IS?! Then I had a big faculty meeting all morning. Good times!

What a great weekend! It rained off and on all of Saturday and then Sunday morning, which made it nice and cosy in the cabin. We just lounged around, watching baseball and reading. Yesterday we got home mid-afternoon and for dinner I made stuffed peppers with Italian sausage and cheese on top, which I have also just enjoyed for my lunch today.

Happy anniversary to the Groves! (Thanks for the reminder, Steve!) What’re you crazy cats doing?

    • Barb says:

we are not doing anything interesting –
it’s been 24 years – we are boring people.
We are going to make Carbonara tonight – maybe got for a walk after I’m done working, maybe get crazy & go for a bike ride. Who knows
