I don’t want to believe this, but next week Atlanta will be below freezing temperatures again. Oh, the tender shoots on plants will be suffering just like my bank account will after the ITP Estate’s roof is replaced then.

Wordle: five, my starter was CRUEL. I think it may be time for me to take a break from Wordle since I’ve lost respect for its editors…

Wordle in 5 and coulda been 2!

A pretty quiet day. Puppies are doing well. George and Bennett don’t understand why they can’t play with them.

I got out for 20 miles- an out and back starting into the wind. Felt good to turn around.

Oh! Learned my old co-worker Sam retired! They are still looking for a replacement, but the institutional knowledge walking out the door in the last 6 months can’t be replaced.

    • Good on ya. I want to take the bike outside again, I really do. I couldn’t do so yesterday because I was meeting with the roofer, everything will be wet and windy today, and then a cold snap returns next week.

I’ll be cramming for Spring Tune Up like it’s a final exam in college.

  2. Oh yeah, if you need pork this might be a good week to shop at Publix, as most of their pork is BOGO. I bought a 5-pound pork butt with the intention of making slow cooker Carolina pork (vinegar based) on Saturday.

  3. I keep forgetting to watch Paris-Nice on Peacock, probably because it starts (on tv) at 10am and by that time I’m doing something else.

It was a MISERABLE day on yesterday at Paris-Nice. I didn’t hear that they shortened it, but I wouldn’t be surprised. I remember a stage of Tour de Georgia like that. this guy went off the front alone and at one point had 4 minutes or more on the field. I think he finished 2 minutes ahead and that got him the overall win.

  4. Waiting for daylight and the rain to stop so that I can go into Wee Little Farm and check out the trenches that I re-dug yesterday.

  5. I’m on pins and needles today. The combination of soaked ground and heavy wind has me quite nervous. I’ve already had a part of a branch (from my neighbor’s old sweet gum tree) land in WLF.

its BLUSTERLY out there – I just heard some sort of branch land on the house. Allan is napping, so it wasn’t that loud – didn’t wake him up.

Went to Founders Day last night – Sally & I decided to leave as circle was starting – we are sooooo sitting on the ice someday – they were yelling at us to come back.

Lots of meetings this morning. Also had to get Finn’s camping gear all settled for his school camping trip today. One of the reasons why I don’t like camping is that you have to lug all sorts of gear out there. Why don’t people just stay in their home where all their stuff is already?

  8. Steve says:

Paulie, what’s a normal email address for you? NYT has a good article I want to send you.

  9. In from WLF, where I made just a wee little progress. It’s chilly and windy out there. Yesterday I spent a lot of time plucking things that wanted to become trees, today I returned to picking up sweet gum balls.

I have a lot to do prior to prime growing season, so I need to get motivated.

went outside finally – DANG its different weather today that yesterday
