I had a good morning volunteering with Trees Atlanta on Saturday morning and was surprised when I crashed for an hour’s sleep after eating lunch upon my return home. Yesterday started with me waking up fighting a cold, sneezing and a runny nose, thus ruining my day.

I’ve started reading another book, “The Last Thing He Told Me” by Laura Dave. The odd thing about this is that I am experiencing extreme Déjà vu, as if I’ve read this previously. I know there was a movie (tv movie?) made from the book, but I don’t recall watching it, and there is no record of me reading this previously, so I don’t know why it resonates.

I had initially intended to make “Ham and Bean Soup” from “‘I Love My Instant Pot’ Affordable Meals” by Aileen Clark tonight, but because I stoked my beans overnight on Saturday night, I went ahead and made it for dinner last night. Though quite tasty, the soup was a little too salty because of the stock cubes I used for the chicken stock.

Wordle: ???, my starter was NAKED. I can’t solve it!

  1. Still sick this morning. I have already cancelled my commitment to volunteer with Concrete Jungle and am going to rest all day today instead.

  2. After making my brain hurt for far too long, Wordle in five.

Wordle in 6 and I’m calling BS.

Returned from the camp out Saturday. The forecast said rain overnight into Sunday and packing up and riding home wet did not thrill me. Good call, as I would have had to go through the snow. 2 wheels and snow don’t mix.

Got my sleeping arrangement working and slept well Friday night until an explosion woke the entire camp, as it was the talk of breakfast. Miles away and still loud. I waited for sirens to respond but there were none. I thought I heard smaller follow up explosions, but could be wrong. My first thought- meth lab.

45 minutes on the trainer last night.

according to our formerly (now retired) DEA agent that is a hasher – no one makes meth anymore in the US – its too much trouble to source the supplies.

  4. While I hate being sick, and ironically the other day was marveling at how healthy (excepting my inability to lose weight) I’ve been this winter, it certainly helps make time for jigsaw puzzling and reading…

had to resort to the google – Wordle in 6.

Busy weekend – hike & 4th punch on Saturday at Schoolhouse – only need 2 more!

Sunday was Wheelhopper – it was cold, but not as bad as I thought it would be – the sun was out – that helped A LOT!!! We had a pretty decent sized crowd, especially since it was way out in Dallas. Fun trails – Pimpkinvine Creek trail.

  6. While not “better” I’m headed in the right direction. Hopefully by tomorrow I will be able to exercise and do chores tomorrow.
