Good morning from Camp Weed, Live Oak, FL where the current temp is 23.
I slept pretty well, but could not get my feet warm.
The ride down included a lunch stop at Yoders and it was great. I thought I had þold theGPS to take me straight from there to camp, but I took the scenic route through Thomasville. Set up camp in the dark.
May ride down to Ocala after it warms a bit.

I agree Jenka – my cold weather camping (in a tent) are over – sitting by a campfire – sure – sleeping in the cold – I do not want to do that. MY feet would NEVER warm up.
My camping days were over 20 years ago when I realized I don’t HAVE to like camping. LOL!
I really enjoy camping, though I found camping alone is not fun.
It was well below freezing durning my last ever hash camp out at Black Rock in 2022. Didn’t know at the time that would be my last hurrah, but it was.
I learned a long time ago the key to warm feet is putting on new socks prior to getting into a sleeping bag. I think it has to do with the dryness of the new socks?
I am so ready for a long weekend. Jumping right back into the semester with a bang was no fun. We were going to go to the cabin this weekend but we may bag it because there are supposed to be flurries over the weekend and we don’t want to get stuck up there. Got a flurry of texts and emails from the Coosawattee POA that if there is a weather event they will not treat the roads until the event is over. Which means if it snows, we’re fucked until the Lord decides to clear the roads.
I am volunteering with Trees Atlanta tomorrow, and with Concrete Jungle on Monday. Today I have to designate a pair of pants as garden/farming/tree pants since the crotch in ,y old pair ripped to hell and back a few months ago. This task would be easy if I’d stop gaining weight.
Last week Kevin leaned over to pick something up and the seams around the pockets on the butt of his jeans both ripped wide open. Good thing he was wearing underwear! HAH!

Dinner last night was pesto pasta with chicken and breakfas t was biscuits and gravy. Camp food has come up in the world.

yesterday was a crazy day work wise – I was exhausted when I was finally done.
We finished up the 1st season on The Night Manager – we will start the 2nd season soon.
Bone-In Ham Steak found at ghetto Kroger, and I collected 4x Feul Points today as well! Sadly, I forgot to get andouille sausage, so Sunday’s jambalaya will be pushed back a week.
Just updated my phone to the new iOS. I find the “liquid glass” feature to be distracting.
It has received mixed reviews. I have quickly gotten used to it.
