Excellent lunch with beer with ITP-Reader Barb at Schoolhouse yesterday.

I wanted to make “Ham and Bean Soup” from “‘I Love My Instant Pot’ Affordable Meals” by Aileen Clark last night. However, I’m having a hard time finding a bone-in ham steak for the recipe. I meant to stop into the Nam Dae Mun Asian Market on my way home from Schoolhouse yesterday, but didn’t do so.

It’s been awhile since I mentioned a brewery closure, and this one happened sometime last summer but I just found out about it. Ironmonger Brewing in Cobb County has closed. I drove past its location yesterday, and remembered to look it up when I saw the coaster I have from there while I was starting a new jigsaw puzzle.

Wordle: three, my starter was COUPE

i feel like breweries that are just in an office park don’t do well.
(except Schoolhouse – or he’s just losing money & doesn’t care)

All the ones that seem to do really well are freestanding & have room for lots of kids & dogs

Wordle in 6 and it shouldn’t have been that hard.

A lovely lunch and catch up with Stacy. The Po Boy Shop is now on the radar- excellent Po Boy and I like the space in the basement.

Eye doc has me back off the drops to get a new baseline as one eye is reacting and one isn’t. Paulie, plan for a lunch date in a month.

Packing day for the scooter trip to Florida. supposed to be near record cold, so a great time to be tent camping! It seemed like a great idea back in December. “come to North Florida, where it’s always sunny and warm!” You pays your money and takes your chances.

I dunno, I feel like you could make the soup without the bone, you’d just have to adjust the cooking time.

We stayed in all cosy and ordered in ramen and watched the first two episodes of season 5 of Only Murders in the Building.

  4. Other than the music festival I’m trying to attend in Athens on May 7,8 can someone tell me what will be happening there to make lodging so goddamn expensive? There are four Choice Hotels in Athens, three are sold out and the other is available for $744/night.
