Happy Boxing Day! Whatever the hell that is…

I have a ton of winter farm/garden chores which must start soon. They are not starting today because I am using this new-normal warm weather to go outside and hike/ride… or, I am going to Norcross to meet up with BRAG Steve and his family. Lord knows that I can’t do both on the same day… 🙂

Christmas dinner was okay, but neither the pork nor baked beans were as good as I’ve made in the past.

It doesn’t appear that I’ve cracked my crockpot liner, which is good. I may wind up giving it away anyway because I have the Instant Pot, and don’t really need such a large crockpot any longer.

    Wordle in 4.

A nice meetup at Red’s for a couple beers and some cookies. Great to catch up with Laura/Martha Screwit and, of course, the Groves.

Waiting on a bit more fog to burn off before I go ride. Boxing Day is a high holy day in the hunt, but they decided to hold it tomorrow. We’ll be there to road whip and enjoy the “breakfast”.

And I forgot to mention that Bagless and Fag Hag were there as well. Other faces I recognized, but couldn’t tell you their names.

ummmmm – you get up so damn early – you could easily walk/hike & still get to Norcross by early afternoon.
I have to work today – so no visit to Norcross – too much going on.

Red’s was fun – always good to catch up with Martha & Alexis (fag hag) & Greg (Bagless) & others I see more often.
We got Tasty China to go on the way home – then watched Football on the streaming services since we have both Netflix & Prime.

  4. Glad to hear Red’s was good.

Yes, I could have gone hiking but two things stopped me.
    1. I wouldn’t want to be sweaty, and given the temperature and humidity I would be sweaty.
    2. There is not a whole lot of quality hiking near Norcross. I considered Fort Yargo, but even that isn’t great.

I have Prime, but knew the commercials would irritate me. I watched “It’s a Wonderful Life” instead.

    • Barb says:

Commercials on Prime aren’t that bad – its just like watching a regular game on Network TV.

I mean – go somewhere before (like Stone Mtn, Arabia Mtn, etc) – get back home, shower, then head to Norcross. You get up so damn early – it could be done.
Or just the usual wander the neighborhood walk.

I’m busy enough today, but not super busy – but can’t get too far from my computer.

      • I am not that motivated these days, though I should be since I’m so goddamn fat… I will ride the trainer, now that I’ve torn myself away from the jigsaw puzzle I started this morning.

I can’t watch NFL (or college) games because the number of commercial breaks aggravates me. I’m weird, I know.

I’m getting the hang of the Pips game finally

  6. Steve says:

    17 in the books. Dampish.

  7. Hour on the trainer is done. Weather is shittier than I thought it would be, so I’m glad I exercised indoors.

Lunch made, essentially turned my pork and beans into a bowl of Brunswick stew.
