Because you are reading this I am confident that my first mushroom foraging was successful. I brought home a flush of oyster mushrooms, as identified by me using books and a cheat sheet, cleaned them, and have eaten them three times this week. I did not get sick, and I live to tell the tale!

This morning I am volunteering with Trees Atlanta. Today’s shift will be my sixth this calendar year, thus earning me a new Trees Atlanta t-shirt to replace the one I earned 25 years ago.

Wordle: three, my starter was RISKY. Today’s solution was yet another from my starter list that I didn’t pick on the correct day!

  1. Not as bad of a final score as I predicted, but a loss is a loss. Go ahead and gloat Jenka. Man how I miss the days when Massachusetts teams sucked… lol

  2. Jenka says:

Surin for dinner last night, then Thursday Night Football. The Pats defense is only okay, I predict that my teams makes the playoffs but is defeated early because the defense is weak.

  3. Steve says:

    Wordle in 4.

The new hay hut is assembled and awaiting a round bale. It was a nice afternoon to fight with that beast and put it together. The old one you could “roll” on its back to put the bale in, but this one will take the tractor. It should last longer.

I think a scooter ride to lunch, then a bicycle ride this afternoon. Should be beautiful.

wordle took me 5 – not really a word I’d think of.

nothing too exciting going on around here –
Probably watching Survivor with Sally tongiht.

Saturday isn’t planned – maybe a bike ride, maybe a hike – who knows?
Sunday is a BS/Wheelhopper combo hash at Southside Park, that is also a Hashers Not Trashers event – so we are supposed to do a clean up. should be interesting.

  5. Back from volunteering. I sweat more than I wanted, stepped in dog shit, and discovered that I failed to bring a change of shoes, so I came home directly. Lunch is now peanut butter on crackers.

  6. Barb says:

went to Kroger for a few things – managed to spend $49 – so 196 fuel points. Allan’s new fire house is near a Kroger, so I will be paying more attention to the Kroger points again. We managed to spend enough last month to get 500+ points. Allan’s been driving the big a$$ truck, we need to go fill it up & my car with that 50 cents off!

  7. Was feeling a little tired upon coming home. I’ve taken an awesome nap, but am no longer motivated to do anything else today..
