I’m frustrated by the music industry, or perhaps the streaming services, by the lack of attention to detail regarding album release dates. This fault is going to make a future endeavor of mine harder. At the beginning of next year, or perhaps sooner, I want to listen to the entire catalog of a chosen musician/band, in order of album release. However, as notified by Apple Music just yesterday, The Who have a new album on Apple Music called “Who Are You”. Save ITP-Reader Jenka, the rest of you probably also recognize that “Who Are You” was originally released in the 1970s (1978 to be exact), yet when you look at The Who’s discography in Apple Music “Who Are You” is marked with a 2025 release date. I do t care if there are extra songs, or the online album now consists of unreleased or remastered tracks, this album was released in 1978 goddammit!

I feel as if one day, hopefully soon, I will randomly pick the correct starter word from my Wordle Starter List and score another ace. Yesterday’s solution, SHORT, was the word I chose as a starter four times in the past three months, the latest time being ten days ago.

Wordle: frustrating five, my starter was OPIUM. Maybe I’m not as close to scoring an ace as I thought…

Bonus question: First song played when WKLS (96Rock) switched over from “easy listening” to Rock…way back in 1974?

That was a serious “Old man yells at cloud” rant! LOL! šŸ™‚
For your endeavor, I wouldn’t trust Apple since many bands re-release albums which would modify dates. Go with Wikipedia or Google for the correct order of the albums.
My 2 cents that you didn’t ask for.

  4. I’m watching season 8 of ā€œMortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishingā€ which has been illegally uploaded to YouTube. Funnily the uploader is asking for donations midway through each video. I assume that these uploads will be deleted from YouTube by Monday, so I’m watching while I can.

started watching the 4th season of Then Morning Show with JoAnna last night, she doesn’t have Apple TV anymore. So, now I have to wait for her to watch more episodes. (ok, I really don’t, I could watch it twice……)

Besides that, nothing interesting going on around here.
Did find some ahi tuna at Aldi yesterday for 50% off, so that’s what’s for dinner tonight. Trying to figure out what to make with it.

You think I don’t know when one of the most famous albums of all time came out, just because I was 3 at the time?

My work dinner went great last night and thankfully ended before 8:00. I spent the night at the Emory conference center and slept like a log. Today is a full day of re-accreditation meetings.

The roofers have taken off FOUR layers of roofing, apparently they just kept roofing over the old roof for the past 112 years. Our neighbor took a pic of the original wood shingles from 1913.

That’s a LOT of weight! (And the year my dad was born).

    • Well, you are but a child. šŸ˜›

Wow, that’s amazing. I can’t recall if the roofers stripped my old shingles or not. I know that had to in one section because it requires a rubber sub layer to keep water from leaking through the shingles due to the fact that it’s a flat section.

OK, now without further distractions… Wordle in 5.

A nice ride on the old scooter yesterday looking for lunch. Warm Springs was my destination and there was a sort of odd traffic jam with a crew taking down a tree in the heart of town. No patience for that. On to Manchester with only sketchy Mexican as an option. Back towards Woodbury and a known quantity of bar food and Mexican. Overly attentive service- halfway through my meal, the waitress brought me a drink to go. Not really something I can use on the MC, but I thanked her…

And something every shop needs arrived yesterday- a 10 ton hydraulic press!! I have some bent mower wheels that I want to straighten and this seemed like a possible solution. And who doesn’t want a 10 ton press? For just over $100 I couldn’t say no.

  8. I harvested all of my Jerusalem artichokes yesterday. I didn’t realize they probably should have stayed in the ground until a freeze occurred because the oxidize and start to degrade once harvested.

In order to save some of the harvest I am experimenting with fermenting a half-gallon of them.

  9. Last season Atlanta United tried rolling back the clock to the Good Years by bringing back Miguel Almirón; it was a colossal flop. Next season they will attempt to make us think it’s 2019 by bringing back the original head coach, Tata Martino.
