I always find it interesting when Wordle solutions I expect to trip people up, do not.
Wordle in 4.
Took the scooter out to breakfast Saturday and ran into Rox and Eddie, who are on the Scotland trip. We caught up and made plans for that. Thee was much football watching in the afternoon, with the Jackets and Alabama both having their moments.
Sunday was a CX race at the Coweta fair grounds. A nice course, probably 75% visible from the finish line, so made scoring a snap. A bit of rain just to be annoying. The wind was almost constant, which took any heat out of me. I got home and after I still couldn’t warm up, got in the hot tub.
Once to have more rain today, as there are indoor chores to complete.

We haz rain — 1″ so far. More on the way, 10-12a. Looks heavy. Bracing for impact.
In other news, I was hopeful to get problems with Comcast TV Box resolved. Technician was scheduled Sunday 1-3, but showed up way late. No replacement box on truck. No resolution. Power blip apparently messed up Comcast, in our area as he worked on it. Doh! All unceremoniously started working last night. Maybe replacement 4K box the local Comcast store ordered (to arrive “3-5 business days”) will fix it, for good.
In other news, I cobbled together a (Ham) radio install for my new ride. Not perfect, but it’s in and works. No holes drilled. I got a good report from a man returning home from a South Georgia hunting trip.
Maybe this will be my week. Taqeria del Sol taco special this week is “Jicama Slaw”, my favorite. And the Stone Mountain Hamfest is Saturday.
And don’t forget, the time change is Sunday.
Oh, our Daisy The Cat jumped up to investigate an open cabinet in the bathroom. I failed to close the door. So my bad. Knocked my electric shaver to the tile floor. It’s dead Jim. Amazon to the rescue. I resisted the urge to order the (much) more expensive replacement for 7am this morning delivery. I can wait 2 days.

you had quite the exciting few days!!!
We will be in New Orleans for the time change – that should make things even more interesting
Yeah, life in the slow lane (by design).
“Oh! Look! One of them Teslas!” 🙂

What a dreary day — I love it! Finn did not want to get out the door this morning and I can’t blame him. Then traffic was all backed up.
Saturday we unloaded a whole trunk full of clothes and items at Goodwill, stopped at the dry cleaners, and then went to Mellow Mushroom for lunch. Otherwise all we did all weekend was watch football. Yesterday I made the boys pigs in blankets. Then I made a banana bread and also a casserole with taco meat, macaroni, and mixed veggies in a cheese sauce. Total comfort food.
I need to make something with turkey stock for dinner tonight – was realizing Thanksgiving is a month away, & we haven’t used up enough of the stock, need all the containers for the next patch!
I’m thinking its going to be some sort of chicken chili, soup, or who knows.
Feel free to throw me suggestions
holy cow it’s been raining hard for a long while this morning
So far, 1.7 inches and still coming down. This would have been really ugly for a bike race.
wordle – not a word I’d ever use – I had to resort to some google help
Home from a long drive from Raleigh.
A little less than 2.5” in WLF. Unfortunately, one of my catch buckets tipped over, or was tipped over, rendering it useless to catch water.
