For about a month a house across the street from me has been clearing out and putting items on the curb. The other day I did a double take and laughed because I saw a big shelving unit which looked identical to one that I put on the curb over ten years ago. I really think it’s the same shelving unit because I think that I recognized a scratch on one of its shelves. Did I reclaim it? No, because I don’t need it, don’t have space for it, and it’s been damaged by water so the press wood shelves are swelling.
Wordle: five, my starter was TRADE
Today’s the day…

that’s funny about the shelving unit.
Wordle in 6 and not a yellow letter anywhere.
Still wiped out, but the hot tub helped last night. Need to get a few things for the LQ and test to see if I can get the tv working. I couldn’t get any sign of life, but didn’t have much test gear.
Maybe a ride later today on some sort of 2 wheeled vehicle.
Very cryptic today, HwC.

But what’re you going to do with the rest of your week, LOL?! Nothing, I hope!
Hopefully! Richie Bros auction is tomorrow. Going up today to preview and see what I can live without.
wordle in 4 – that wasn’t too bad.
Lasagna for dinner with the in-laws – nothing else too exciting
Did you make it with ravioli?
we always do – it was fresh spinach filled ravioli from Sam’s.
Got Pollo Primo and went over to my friend Sarah’s for dinner and to watch the NBA season kickoff.
Paulie, I had a similar thing happen: we put a desk out on the curb and the next day I saw it on the neighbor’s porch holding up plants and things. Then it was out on the curb a couple years later. Hah!
I nearly made plans to get pollo primo tonight, but Betsy has already ordered the Mercer Street Meal, for which I will pay since it’s my turn to supply food.
Oooooh. Today’s meal looks soooooooo good. It’s like Lance reached into my brain and picked out my favorite things.
I had to google that meal service – interesting idea.
What a great business idea.
He makes good food. Last Sunday I bought the veal schnitzel dinner and enjoyed the two meals I ate from it. And, his kitchen is extremely convenient for me, it’s about a quarter mile down Flat Shoals from the ITP Estate.
…just trying to fit in. 🙂
(Jan is getting a new car, I’m inheriting her old car (gladly). My venerable 2004 Honda Element (130,000 miles) becomes surplus. Probably destined for Carmax.
So today is the day.
In other news, the “big, big” Stone Mountain Hamfest (11-1, 11-2, Gwinnett County Fairgrounds) will soon be upon us.

another Honda toaster is going away. There aren’t too many left.
what is she getting for a new car? & what are you inheriting?
Hey, I have a teenager in need of a car. How much are you planning to sell that Honda Element for? I am sure that it has been meticulously cared for.
Jan is getting the new Acura RDX and I’m getting her older Acura RDX.
Disclaimer: If Honda had a 2026 Honda Element, I’d stop what I was doing and go buy it today.

Acura RDX will be a nice upgrade.
Everyone I know that owned an Element feels exactly as you do.
Long ago, Debbie and I decided that Honda discovered the element Butt-ugly-um. Sorry, John.
its the TOASTER
Been out cleaning up WLF, with much more to do. I harvested a bunch of very large jalapeño peppers, some bell peppers, a half dozen tomatoes, and a couple of cayenne peppers. The okra out there may go toward a tofu from okra effort, or more likely at this point either saved for seed or composted. Fortunately though getting chilly we still won’t dip below freezing for at least a week, so I will see if the bell peppers I left on the bushes will grow, or turn to their final color.
Perhaps sadly my winter garden looks as if it will be abysmal, due in part to my neglect, and in part due to caterpillar damage.
Out for today’s walk, and have chosen to stop for a cup of coffee midway. Weird, right?
I went for a walk, decided I was hungry – so went to The Corn House to get a coxinha (what I call a chicken ball). The Corn House has remodeled – they now have an area where you can get the meat cut off the skewers. its $25 for the buffet.
Huh, I never considered that to be a buffet sort of place…
Done with my walk, 5.5 miles today.
they remodeled into the store area next door – there was a small buffet, but now its much bigger.
Ah, I see.
