I might have to make an exception for my concert ticket price cap next year if the reunited band Sugar comes to Atlanta or Athens. Sugar was created in the 1990s by Bob Mould, member of one of my favorite bands (Hüsker Dü). Sugar should have also been the last band I ever saw live as it’s the band I saw in Atlanta in November of 1994, and fell asleep near Lake Guntersville, Alabama while driving home to Huntsville after the show. I was awakened by an unknown semi driver who honked the horn as I started to glide through a stop sign into an intersection.
Wordle: four, my starter was TRIBE
Wordle in 5.
I’m about as tired as I’ve ever been after the Games. I think we took about our normal length of time to put it all back in the box yesterday, but maybe I got more involved in the tote in the lifting in the clapping up and down and what not I made it back to camp about six and tried to stay awake, but I was unsuccessful pretty much and was fully in bed by 8 o’clock.
Unfortunately, I forgot to turn the heat on last night and about 4 o’clock decided I was cold enough to get up and turn the heat on so it’s now nice and toasty in the trailer. Shortly I’ll be moving south to swap trucks and come back and drag the LQ home.

Are you going to retire from the Games, too? Seems like a lot of work.
Ive thought about it, but there really isn’t anyone stepping up. I know someone would, but some training would be nice and no o e plays trailer jenga like me!
Steve – I bet you are exhausted.
I have nothing to report. Watched MNF and went to bed early.
This week is very busy with meetings, advisory boards, and a public lecture. I’m tired already!
we watched part of that game, but decided it wasn’t worth staying up late.
For this old man I either watch MNF (rare) OR I go to bed early, the two cannot occur together for me. 🙂
Well I didn’t FINISH the game. I probably went to bed at halftime.
wordle in 5 – that was too hard for me this morning.
we didn’t do much yesterday, but went to the store for the rest of the lasagna ingredients – Mary & TJ are coming over for dinner tonight.
We started watching The Diplomat a few days back, I had watched some of the 1st season way back when & then thought Allan might like it – (and he does) so we are finally watching it.
We love the Diplomat! The third season has just started, we are so excited.
I drank and ate at Manual’s Tavern yesterday. I’m sad to report that I think the food has gone downhill. No one at my table of five had a meal for which they thought all parts were tasty. I had a corned beef Reuben which was good, but was served with French fries which were cold. Thought about sending the fries back, but didn’t.
Honestly, I won’t eat there anymore. The last several times the food has been almost inedible, so about a year ago-ish I stopped going there unless it’s just for drinks.
Nor will I.
In my experience, waking up behind the steering wheel of a moving car is something you only do once. Either you don’t make it, or if you do, you vow *never* to do that again. In my case I woke up when I hit a guardrail in the middle of the night on I-26 in Charleston. Thankfully I got control of the car, and no one else was nearby at the time.
Also, I had to look up what MNF is, as I had no idea. 🙂
It’s FOOTBALL TIME, in AMERICA.
(That’s their tagline.)
Jenka – that made me laugh
Yeah, to say it’s life changing, when it’s not life ending, is an understatement.
my fun with FB Marketplace……
I had these kitchen glasses that I put on the Buy Nothing Group – no one answered.
I put them on Marketplace for $10 – I got at least 10 people asking about them.
A GA Tech girl new to town came & got them – I have now deleted the listing (as I had put pending yesterday, and no one reads).
Four mile walk completed. This time I cut the route a little short so that I could pee at home. This whole old age thing is harder than it should be! 🙂
I always have to pee
To Luthersville, to Stone Mountain and back to Luthersville complete. Just over 5 hours, which included unhitching the small trailer from the big truck, and hitching up the LQ. Traffic gods took pity on me…
