When I was leaving Vancouver my Lyft had to stop in order to allow a pack of six raccoons to cross the road.

I intended to mention this upon my return from Canada, but this trip was the first trip abroad for which I did not get any currency for the foreign country. I used credit cards for everything.

I’m seeing way more Waymo cars on Atlanta roads. I had a few minutes of amusement when one dropped off passengers in the middle of Oakhurst Porchfest and had a hell of a time making its way through the crowded street.

I shopped at an Asian grocery store on Wednesday, and was delighted to see that my old age saved me 5% with their senior citizen discount that day.

Last night I made my first dough for pizza from scratch. Tonight I will be making pizza for dinner.

It’s amazing how well Aaron Rodgers is playing once again now that he is no longer a NY Jet.

While I don’t need a whole lot of things, I will be visiting Kroger today to get as many 4x Fuel Points as I can buying only what I need. On Sunday I intend to cash in my 400 September Fuel Points by filling up the M6’s tank.

Wordle in 4 and could have been 3.

Today should be a day of putting out fires as the field is essentially ready for tomorrow. We did a great job wrapping up the last few details yesterday and it really went very well.

Dinner last night with Burt and my clan brother Franklin at the good Mexican place in Tucker tonight is the patrons and sponsor reception and I’ll have to get all gussied up.

Still looking like rain for Sunday, but we’ll play it as it lies.

and Barb, yesterday you asked about where the guest of honor our dinner was – it’s at the host hotel, which is the Hilton North East in Peachtree corners. Stone Mountain Park would like us to come and have more events inside the park, but at the moment they can’t meet the price that the Hilton gives us.

    • Good luck with everything this weekend.

I’m hoping for no rain Sunday too – as Wheelhopper in the rain could be much more interesting than I want it to be -(plus, laying trail will suck if its raining).

thanks for the update on the hotel -that’s interesting that the park people can’t come up with a better price to keep you from driving all over town.

I went to Parrothead happy hour last night – there is a whole lot of newer members – but do I really want or need more new friends? I tend to just talk to the people I already know.
But anyway – a couple friends went on vacation to Alaska a month or 2 ago – and enjoyed it so much they were talking about moving there. A couple of us were like — maybe you should go in January to see if you still like it up there?????

After clicking on each season it turns out that we actually watched through season 36 of TAR, so we watched the first episode of season 37 last night. I had made white chicken chili in the crockpot yesterday so dinner was ready when I got home except for the rice.

I am so ready for the weekend. This week was brutal; in fact, my time-sensitive work can’t really afford to wait over the weekend, but it will have to. We have some errands to run this weekend but otherwise no plans.

  4. Making a huge pot of baked beans, most of which will be brought to the Bennie Ride tomorrow.

The pot of beans will be in the oven for at least seven hours, so a Kroger run will occur once it’s in the oven.

    • Barb says:

oh yeah – we should bring something tomorrow – shouldn’t we………..
But – if it looks like its really going to rain Sunday, we may have to leave & try to pre-mark some of the Wheelhopper trail. I really don’t want to try to help lay the whole trail in the rain on Sunday.

Kroger grocery shopping done – beer doesn’t count towards the 4x fuel points – but we still got 360 points. need to buy a few more things this month – maybe we will wait until next friday.
