Off to the Waschsalon this morning. It’s been awhile since I’ve been and I’m on my last clean pair of underwear.

Wordle: six, my starter was GLARE. According to my data, none of the six words I played today have been previous Wordle solutions!

  1. The shorts I put on this morning are straining to contain me. It’s a reminder that it’s long past time for me to change my eating and exercising habits.

Wordle in 5. Whiffed 2 guesses by not including a letter already discovered! I’m tired!

Dinner with the guest of honor last night was OK. A nice piece of cow that they overcooked but a really nice salad that I enjoyed there was wine and there was whiskey and I made it home by about 930 and collapsed.

More of the same on the field today. I hope the weather forecast that I’ve seen is correct as it looks like a lot lower chance of rain on Sunday.

where did you have the dinner? I don’t know enough about Stone Mountain – they still have a big hotel, etc?

BTW – truck battery all fixed?

  3. HamWithcam says:

    Plumber?
    Drain line?
    Wash at home?
    Twenty-First Century?
    Priorities?

“Just Do It…” <– kinda catchy.

(Otherwise, donate the unused washer, dryer — apparently, there are those who need them more than you.)

I march (goddammit autocorrect, “march” doesn’t always mean “March”, so STOP CHANGING IT ON ME!!) to the beat of a unique drummer… another reason Rush didn’t select me to go out on tour next year.

wordle in 3 – thanks to a good 2nd guess. (& the solution is a favorite word of mine)

didn’t do much but work yesterday – did get a 3 mile walk in after work.
And – since we were talking about big box stores yesterday – Allan had bought some broccoli cheese soup from Sam’s – so we had that & salad last night for dinner.

  5. Laundry is done! Those of you that will see on Saturday will be happy to read that I will be wearing clean skivvies. 🙂

  6. Jenka says:

Late this morning because we went to take a tour of a possible new school for Finn. It was a great school and, most importantly, it’s in Inman Park 1 mile from our house (as opposed to the school he currently goes to that is 23 miles away in East Cobb). Assuming he gets in he may start there in January.

We went to Surin for dinner and then watched the last episode of Somebody Feed Phil. I think tonight we’ll start the next season of TAR. Since we have to wait for them to show up on Prime I think we are only at season 34.

  7. $85 “convenience fee extortion” paid to Dekalb county for property taxes. Credit card will give me up to 3% back in cash, so not as bad as it could be.

It will hurt next month when the credit card bills are astronomical.

    • Barb says:

mine was $72.20 fee – so Allan went to the office & wrote them a check. ( & then Truist sent a text to ask me if we wrote a check….. 😉

      • Since I will be getting some money back, not relying on the post office, or spending the time and gas to drive to the tax office, I just write it off as another of my life’s financial losses.

  8. It’s weird to see that there are some beautiful, young, tomato plants with flowers out in WLF currently…. two weeks away from Halloween! I doubt there will be enough time, daylight, and heat to produce fruit.

  9. I hear the sound of chainsaws nearby again. I’m amazed how many days this occurs.

  10. Barb says:

we need to buy flour, snacks, beer etc. for the hash Sunday – I will be using my 4x fuel points coupon on the Kroger app tomorrow!

  11. Barb says:

We ordered some pillows from the Sleep Number store (with Bob’s referral money) and realized they sent the wrong pillows. So, went to the store, as I didn’t want to try to get them returned by talking to someone online. (I didn’t want to box them up, etc.)
The girl at the store is so nice, and they had the pillows in stock I thought she/we had ordered. She admitted she ordered the wrong ones. I really need to go on yelp, google & wherever else & give that store & her a good review.
