Well, I was going to go up to ride Beautiful Backroads this year, until I saw that the registration fee is currently $70. I know that everything is going up, but $70 is more than I am willing to pay for this ride.

    Wordle in 3!

A pretty quiet day yesterday. Began shoveling out my office. About to send out a farewell letter if I can figure out the right mailing list. And I got to decline my first meeting invite because it’s in October!!

Starting to get ready to camp at Stone Mountain this weekend. Will try to take a scooter as well as a bike. Securing the scooter may be a challenge.

Have you had the same office for decades? I have been at Emory for 20 years but this is my third job and in the other two jobs I had to move offices, so I am currently in my 7th office.

I’m riding Beautiful Backroads. My son wants to do 100, I’m probably going to go metric. Paulie, if you want to pay less, you have to commit earlier to beat the graduated pricing.

    Wordle in 3.

    • Looks as if you will have nice weather.

I understand the pricing structure, I was waiting to see the weather forecast. I didn’t expect it to be this expensive a week out, however. No biggie, if my body allows me I will just ride solo somewhere else.

I enjoyed that ride the time or 2 I rode it.
Allan is working Saturday, I’m considering going up to Hartwell for the hash. (not that I’d do the trail, that would be crazy, but I might go to socialize)

While rearranging some stuff in the garage, looked thru a bin that had sweatshirts & t-shirts in it. There was a 96 Olympics t-shirt & sweatshirt. On a whim, I decided to post them on FB Marketplace. They were sold quickly – I’m meeting a woman at 1030 at Kroger to get $35. guess I should have priced them higher.

That was my excitement yesterday. I need to sell more shit…….. there’s plenty of things around here we don’t need, but I don’t want to just throw out or donate.

    • You could have dressed up as an Olympic Volunteer for Halloween! (one of the laziest costumes I used to see often in the late 1990s, early 2000s)

      • Barb says:

        that’s true- but I don’t have the hat & the pins……….
        I’d rather have the $35

I found some old Brag tshirts as well, but I don’t think those will sell. I’ll probably just donate. I have way too many tshirts.

    • Steve says:

I had a bid logo (just the 5 A’s, no rings) golf shirt I wore for years… I’d still wear it if it was still alive.

      • Barb says:

that’s what I selling – (but just white cheap tshirt & sweatshirt with the 5 As) and I guess I didn’t ask enough $$ – a whole lot of people sent me messages –

    • David says:

Debbie has some Olympic stuff laying around. I’ll let her know about your win.

      • Barb says:

$35 cash in my pocket – the lady just wanted them to wear – she’s not reselling!
Amazingly easy – I really need to sell some more stuff.

  5. Spending some time in WLF this morning. My original plans are falling apart because the tomato plants I intended to yank, are doing better than expected.

  6. Lunch must include okra today. My plants are still cranking out pods, and I already have three one-gallon bags in the freezer.

  7. Jenka says:

Nothing to report. We went for sushi and then watched the last two episodes of the latest season of The Bear.

  8. Barb says:

met Allan for lunch at Willie’s down West Paces way – they gave us 25% off for the uniform. They got a bigger tip that way……..
(didn’t spend all my $35 earnings, I have a few dollars left)
