The roofer arrived yesterday later than expected. He is tasked with providing me with a quote for the work we talked about. Hopefully this won’t be crazy high. I need this to happen soon as I was informed by the insurance broker that no company will provide a policy for a house with a roof older than fifteen years old. The inmates now run the asylum…

Sometimes timing works for me, sometimes it works against me. Last Friday I found out about a conference called Spore to Store, which is all about mushroom growing, a subject in which I have much interest. This conference is being held in Griffin, GA this week on Thursday and Friday. On Friday I will be farmer cosplaying at the Organic Growers Schools Spring Conference in Mars Hill, NC. Dangen. If I hadn’t invested 600 non-refundable dollars I’d consider switching conferences. I looked into registration for the mushroom conference to see if I can attend Thursday’s sessions. It turns out that ticket sales have already ended, but I may drive down to Griffin on Thursday and take my chances. I’ve bookmarked their website and hopefully if they have the conference again next year I can attend.

  1. I don’t know why this just hit me, but I have lived half of my life in Georgia.

Wordle in 6. With your starter, 3 is impressive.

Report is in from the body shop on the Toyota- TOTALED! $6k to repair it. USAA is currently offering almost $10k in value, but left off some features, so we’re talking. F.

16 miles yesterday. And at 0530 this morning, it was too cloudy to see the lunar eclipse.

Sushi and two episodes of Nobody Wants This. I am so boring, and I’m fine with it.

The TPMS warning came on again now that the temp has changed. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again until fall.

wordle in 5, I thought of the answer right after I hot enter on a word I didn’t think was a word, but it went thru.

Watched the 1st episode on Survivor last night – it was interesting with all the “older” players – and some I barely remembered.
Sally joined me to watch. Now we have to wait a couple few weeks – so we can watch at least 2 episodes at the same time

work was way too busy – I barely got up from my desk all day.

  5. Since I don’t follow the news, why have gas prices risen again?

  6. I left the house in a short-sleeved tshirt and shorts. The weather continues to confound me. Fortunately I did laundry this morning so I have a heavier long-sleeved tshirt in the car.

  7. This morning a read an article about small towns to visit and Silverton, CO was listed. One of the things to do there is visits Avalanche Brewing, which a commenter mentioned shuttered in April 2025. In looking for information I found an article which chronicled the closed of thirty breweries in Colorado which closed in 2025! And I thought that it was tough in Georgia…

… and now my phone is MIA. Had it when we went out to prepare for the vet. Might be in a stall I put fresh shavings in. Hopefully, Nod hasn’t stepped on it. Neighbor Michelle dropped Nod off (opened the gate) so he could have his man bits removed.
