Since the Falcons game was being shown on ABC I thought about switching to over-the-air tuning and watching the game. And then I thought again.
Last night’s dinner was a baked pasta dish, which if not for the slightly over cooked pasta because I followed the recipe instead of my instincts, it was well executed and delicious. As an added bonus I still have at least four more meals to eat from it. Lol
Wordle: four, my starter was JULEP
Wordle in 5 because I wasted a guess.
One of our crew has been working on a new steel trailer for us and we found out yesterday the steel doesn’t fit. Oops. He will be able to modify it, but it’s kinda sad.
Tent vendor started working and worked until 8 last night.
Last I looked, the forecast was improving.

Oh the number of time I thought that I had measured correctly…
Baking a loaf of bread this morning. Frustrated that I forgot to construct a pan of bacon to make while the oven was reaching its baking temperature.
Morning dictated by the impending arrival of HVAC technician who will perform annual checkup of heating side of the HVAC.
my HVAC company called yesterday about scheduling our checkup – they will be here next week.
At least I know they won’t try to sell me an expensive air filter since I had a new one put in, that I bought via Amazon, after the blower motor failure last month.
Falcons actually won last night, thus cementing the rumored but very true recent decline of the Bills. It’s like a thing no one wants to talk about, how the Bills are pretty bad the last couple of years.
I love me a baked pasta dish. What’s in it?
I used penne pasta, ground pork, onion, spices, tomato purée (store-bought), a lot of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, and WLF bell peppers. When I do it again I won’t cook the pasta as long as I did last night.
Nice! It’s very similar to a pasta bake I make that I call “lasagna light” because it has many of the lasagna flavors (except ricotta) without the 3 hour cooking time.
I got a text about a market research taste test yesterday – I had gone thru all the studies in their portal & filled out a bunch, but I can’t usually do the times offered.
Well -they had one at 6:45 last night, in Alpharetta, that paid $50. I had zero plans, figured my gas would cost maybe $7 – so figured why not. It was a flavored alcohol, and they said if I bring a DD that person would get paid $25. So, I asked Davey if he was bored. We met a little early, did a walk on the greenway, and he came in with me & got his $25. (he didn’t stay, since we knew there was no way they’d give us enough to drink to even get a buzz)
It was just 2 small cups of an orange flavored malt beverage. $50 made in 30 minutes.
So they paid you 50 bucks to drink Mad Dog. LOL!
basically – yes
but I only had to take a few sips
Lol
This afternoon I will begin a process I’ve considered for years but never started — begin the making of a sourdough starter.
Small and mighty, but will it taste good? Find out later…
it looks good……..
Survey Says: it is!
In other Atlanta United news: Goolkeeper Brad Guzman has announced his retirement.
Day 3 in war torn Chicago, architecture boat tour was awesome. Met up with my uncle and cousins I have not seen in many years.
Today is museum of science and technology then second city show tonight.
Good times so far and we have successfully avoided ICE …..
OMG, I have done the architectural river tour and a Second City show and both were AMAZING.
I am currently eating one of the best sandwiches of my life. It uses my home baked bread, a WLF tomato, and turkey that I pretend to have slaughtered last week. All it needed was a side of perfectly made potato chips.
