As we’ve moved into March I realize that I somehow missed the boat on collecting a lot of leaves this winter. Perhaps this is because I was away around Thanksgiving when a lot of people raked their leaves, or perhaps more people decided to “leave the leaves” so there was less inventory for me to collect.
I think I will be eating a good Wee Little Farm salad this week since it appears that it will get so warm this week that my lettuce plants will begin to flower and go to seed.
Two games in and I’m worried about Atlanta United; they have lost both games and have yet to score a single goal.
I decided that rather than cook a recipe from one of my cookbooks tonight, I’d rather eat pizza. I made a dough yesterday and will be baking one later.
Wordle: three, my starter was PRIME
Wordle in 5. My starter just popped into my head…
Saturday went pretty well. Unfortunately, my phone, while fully charged, was quickly eating battery. Even shutting off the screen between turns didn’t help. At the 19 mile point, with no cell service, I asked another rider if he had any signal and he did. I plotted a ride back to the start and turned my phone off. I still managed 38 miles, but I’m sure I had more traffic than anyone else, as I took AL22 and GA34 back. 2400 feet of climbing total and I felt pretty strong all day.
Debbie has returned home from the wilds of Ocala. Good pony time and her opportunity to live in the LQ and see how she likes it- she does. This was basically a test run for her planned month in South Dakota this summer.
How about a ride on the comet this week?

Probably not this week for me, though the weather is agreeable. I’m still in the throes of adulting, and hating it…
make the time for a bike ride Paulie……..
you will feel better if you do.
While I agree, bike riding is not my top priority.
we actually rode the road bikes yesterday.
Some hashers were going to do Dirty Sheets – and another hasher said she wanted pavement – so we decided to do that. I think our bikes could work on Dirty Sheets (the tires aren’t super small) but pavement sounded better. We did 27 miles – that was a good amount for the 1st road ride in forever.
and – since I so rarely use the wahoo for navigation, I even got the route downloaded, but then both Nicola & decided to go the wrong way at the beginning. it was supposed to be a 23.something mile route – We laughed about it – when it had us do a U-turn.
Well done
I picked up some sort of crud so couldn’t ride this weekend. I feel fine but sound like hell and hacking and coughing. However, I was able to take the moto out and spin around the mountains. Beautiful day to be out and about.
Supposed to do a gravel ride on Saturday, we will see how I feel.
Bummer, hope it clears up soon.
It must’ve been from those good-for-nothins you had lunch with on Friday…
Most likely…
It’s rare for me to say this, but I felt healthy all weekend…
Curling is having its day. Now Google is recommending a love coverage stream of a tournament to me.
Just submitted information to an insurance broker hoping to get new coverage by month’s end.
Have I mentioned how much I hate adulting, especially when I am forced to do it?
First Monday of the month means my lovely three-hour meeting all morning. Wasn’t too bad today.
We got our taxes done! Well, we completed the 30 page questionnaire that we submit to the accountants and we amassed all the W-2 and other documents they will need.
You will all approve of me, we attended a birthday party at a craft brewery! On Saturday we went to Dr. Scofflaw’s at The Works. The Works is a really cool development, if it were closer I’d probably go there sometimes. But it’s not. So I won’t. 🙂
I have all my tax paperwork gathered, and will deliver it to my tax preparer on Wednesday.
wordle in 3 !!!
and – Survivor 50 started last week on Wednesday – Sally & I will watch tonight to see how the old people do compared to all the newer players.
Barb is such a liar, she scored a Wordle deuce today.
Enjoy Survivor.
its been a day – I can’t even proofread before I hit send.
yes – it was a 2
Well done!
Waiting for the only roofer with whom I could set up an appointment. He was supposed to arrive at 1pm, but warned me he wouldn’t be able to show up until 2:30ish due to a van breakdown.
We invited 3 roofers last month to come give us estimates, only one actually showed up.
i pick any service by if they respond to my text or phone call somewhat promptly. Even if it is to tell me they have to reschedule, etc. If they communicate, they have my business
