Given that I was feeling better yesterday I showered and dressed with the intent of leaving the house. Then I realized that I didn’t want to be out in the cold, didn’t want to deal with traffic, nor did I want to go out just to spend money.

So I stayed home.

I feel you on that. I hate leaving my apartment these days.

    • Barb says:

I told my boss yesterday he needed to hire a west coast person to work late – but he had time – I’m in hibernation mode until its warmer out.
(I’ve had too much work that has lasted into the evening recently)

    Wordle in 4.

We keep looking at the incoming weather and our outgoing flight Tuesday and I’m not sure it;s all going to happen. Fingers crossed.

Will move the LQ to a more usable position today. Still looking for an electrician. Will get more serious today.

Might be warm enough to ride outside later. Just saying…

We started watching season 2 of The Night Manager – but realized its dropping 1 episode a week & #6 won’t be out until 2/1 – so we decided to watch a silly show called Running Point on Netflix. It’s cute & funny – I’m glad they will be having a second season.

Might have dinner with the in-laws tonight – we will see – they are flaky.

I also don’t want to leave the house, but unfortunately I have to. I went home to pick up Kevin for taco Tuesday at Barbacoa and *almost* bagged it to stay home. But the lure of the Trailer Park taco was too strong. They also had a chorizo taco special last night and I will do anything for chorizo.

The TPMO went off in my car last week but it’s too cold to fill the tire.

  5. Bob says:

You showered and got dressed, almost like a normal member of society 🙂
I’m with you though, not a fan of the cold so only go out if necessary. This weekend may get interesting. Unfortunately we do need milk and eggs so I will be that guy in the grocery store this afternoon 🙁

    • Barb says:

ice storm is Saturday night Bob – they might not be sold out yet.

We need milk too – and can always use eggs – will wait & go Friday maybe for the 4x fuel points at Kroger – we are up to 450 or so points this month

    • I almost finally felt like a member of society again as well.

On Friday I will gas up using December’s points and stock up to get 4x points for next month. I’m scheduled to volunteer with Trees Atlanta again Saturday morning, walking distance from the ITP Estate, and will be curious to see if they pull the plug on the project due to the weather.

      • Living in the ITP Heat Island it probably won’t be as bad for me as you lot way up north in Cobb county.

        • Barb says:

or- we are supposed to believe all the hype – trying to make us believe it will be bad.
We have the generators (for camping) so our fridge & freezer food is safe.
The heat is gas……… the stove is gas. We will survive

          • Jenka says:

Every time we lose power I say that we should get a generator, but then we never do. I’m fine socking in all weekend but if we lose power it will be cooooooooooold.

          • David says:

And you have enough firewood to make it through the apocolypse and back…

          • Barb says:

David – we even have more firewood now -Allan was splitting some down trees from the easement back there.

  6. I should be outside doing chores today, but just can’t motivate myself to do anything like that. Hopefully all will be okay until this next round of cold/rain/whatever passes.

  7. Steve says:

    Errands run.

Tuesday we leave for 4 days in San Diego! A little zoo, a little wild animal park and the USS Midway. I know Delta will reschedule us, but the hotel might be an issue. We will wait a bit longer and see.

    • Barb says:

USS Midway is pretty cool. (they had a 1st responder discount or something, so it was a really good deal)
Take the ferry boat or whatever it is over to Coronado if you have time – its a cool place (we were there with our Navy friend – actually stayed on base at hte Navy hotel)
